The International Certification in Wealth & Investment Management (ICWIM) is a level 3 program that covers the essentials of financial planning, private client asset management, fund management, advisory functions and investment analysis from a global perspective. Delegates learn about the range of assets and investment products available in the market and gain the knowledge to provide financial advice and find appropriate solutions to meet the investment, retirement and protection planning needs for their clients. Who Should Attend?

The ICWIM is appropriate for staff working in private banking and wealth

management roles who need to demonstrate competence through the

achievement of a benchmark qualification and who want to develop a thorough

understanding of how to deliver wealth management advice. Its broad focus

makes it suitable for a wide audience, from new entrants to financial services, or

professionals who may be interested in diversifying into wealth management.

Course Methodology

The course above shall be delivered through lectures, discussions, some video clips,

and exercises. It is estimated that in addition to attending the course, around 130

hours of self-study is strongly recommended to pass the ICWIM exam.

Assessment

The ICWIM is assessed via a two-hour exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice

questions. The pass mark for the exam is 70%. The exam is delivered by Computer

Based Testing (CBT).

Programme Leader: Chris

Chris has over 20 years experience in financial services. He began his career in

securities services, where he gained a broad knowledge of operational areas and

the inherent risks. Chris progressed to client relationship management, where his

expertise and knowledge was used to service a global client-base, often

addressing and resolving operational risk issues. Chris worked for a number of

leading financial institutions including: HSBC, Deutsche Bank and Thomson Reuters.

Chris moved into training over 15 years ago and has worked with graduates, new

starters, and operations staff at all levels, helping them to understand the many

complex concepts that exist within the financial markets. He delivers tailored

financial markets training and professional qualifications. In this regard Chris is a

leading facilitator for a wide range of the Chartered Institute for Securities and

Investments (CISI) qualifications.

Chris has taught around the world, where his exceptional ability to explain complex

concepts in a clear and concise manner makes him the ideal choice for deliver to

audiences for whom English is a second language.

Chris prides himself on having passed many of the qualifications which he teaches.

He is a Chartered Member of CISI for whom he is also an external technical expert

and invited to sit on a number of their exam panels.
