The Fayetteville Police Department has been involved with the child safety seat program for many years. The department has several Child Safety Seat Technicians and three Child Safety Seat instructors. The police department gets grant money from the State of Arkansas to purchase child safety seats. The technicians and instructors install the seats for citizens in need of a car seat for their children. The seats are loaned out to anyone that needs one.
