    __ XR4110 INSTALLATIONPreparationPlease read entire manual before installation.

    Before You Start Disconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. Avoid install ing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures. such as fromdirect sunlight. or where it would be subject to dust. dirt or excessive vibration.Getting Started Insert the supplied keys into the slots as shown. and slide the unit out of the mounting

    sleeve. Install mounting sleeve into opening. bending tabs to secure. Connect wiring harness and antenna. Consult a qualified technician if you are unsure. Certain vehicles may require an installation kit and/or wiring harness adapter (soldseparately). Test for correct operation and slide into the mounting sleeve to secure. Snap trim ring into place.

    XR4110 OPERATION _ _General Operation

    Power On/Off Press 6 to turn the unit on. Press and hold 6 for morethan two seconds to turn the unit off.

    Source Press SOURCE to select between AM/FM. auxiliary input.US B or SO Card modes. Modes of operation are indicated inthe display. SO and US B modes will not appear unless anSO Card or US B device is connected.

    Loud Press and hold LOUD for more than 2 seconds to activateand deactivate the loudness feature. Activating this featurewill enhance the bass and treble frequencies when listeningto music at low volumes.

    Auxi liary Input Insert a 3.5mm connector in the front panel AU X port.Connect the other end of the 3.5mm connector to theheadphone output of an audio device. MP 3 player. etc.Volume Adjust volume using the volume knob (00-32).

    Automatically StoreStations

    Press TUNE .......... or TUNE .... for more than 2 seconds toseek the next strong station.Press TUNE .......... or TUNE .... momentarily to change oneradio station at a time. Press and hold to advance quickly.Press BAND to select between FM1. FM2. FM3 and AM1. AM2bands. Six presets can be saved in each band.Up to 18 FM stations and 12 AM stations can be stored.To store a station. select the desired band and station.Press and hold the desired preset button for more than 2seconds. When stored. the preset number will appear in thedisplay. The station can be recalled anytime by pressing thecorresponding preset button.Press AST for more than 2 seconds to automatically store thesix strongest stations in the current band.After the six strongest stations are set. a scan of each storedpreset will begin. Press AST or TRACK . . . . to cancel.

    Play MP3IWMA files from many mass storage devices byconnecting them to the XR4110's USB port.

    Press TRACK ~ to skip to the be.ginning of the next track.Press TRACK ~ to return to the beginning of the currenttrack. Pressing TRACK ~ again skips to the beginning ofthe previous track.

    When a USB or SO card device is first connected. playbackwill begin automatically. Depending on the number of f ilesand folders. the device may take several seconds to beginplayback. If no valid MP3IWMA files are detected. "USB" or"SO" will continually be displayed.

    To play MP3IWMA files from an SO card. insert an SO cardinto the XR4110's SO card slot with the label facing left. It willclick into place when properly inserted. To remove the card.press in unt il it clicks. then pul l to remove.

    Du e to the differences of USB and SD card devices, somedevices may not be compatible. Devices must be 'massstorage class' and formatted to the FAT or FAT32 file systemin order to ensure compatibility.

    MP3IWMA playback sequence is based on order the filesare copied to the USB/SO card device and begins in theroot folder. Any empty folders or folders that do not includeMP3IWMA files are skipped. Depending on your software,the playback order may vary. Files in the root directory arelocated in Folder 1.
