1. Look over packet with your student and

either World History or Study Hall and

sheet at that time.

student in April.

Random Thoughts

• Please encourage good attendance. If a

student misses more than 10 days in a

semester, they will lose credit in that class

unless there is medical documentation.

• Discuss with your student the impact of

not turning in assignments. Please

monitor the ParentVue.

Junior Timeline: Fall

• College bound students needs to sign up to take PSAT—

optional for juniors—it is the qualifying exam for the National

Merit Scholarship Competition based on junior test score

•Study and ask for help from teacher and/or tutor if needed

•Research college and career options

•Get involved, keep a list of activities

•Start preparing for the SAT/ACT

•Consider applying to the Southern

Indiana Career & Technical Center for

senior year.

• Take a minimum of one SAT or ACT

• Set up appointments and visit colleges

• Keep grades strong. Students should apply to

college in August/September of senior year.

• Work on summer plans—job, summer school,

volunteer and enrichment activities
