• Scenario planning started already in Milestone 2, currently- data collection and scenario creation

• Completed activities: - First data overview and establishment of scenario’s focus - Establishing critical factors according to the clean shipping requirements

Major contents of the study:• Identifying key Baltic Sea shipping trends and

driving forces of change• Trends in port development in the Baltic Sea• Maritime traffic in the BSR- forecast• Trends in ship design (size, regulations, technology)

according to the clean shipping requirements

• Identifying key Baltic Sea shipping trends and driving forces of change.– Worldwide tendencies and increase in

container/passenger shipping– Main BSR operators and services– Fleet and orderbook– Transshipment level in the BSR– Container throughput in the BSR ports– Short sea operations

• Trends in port development in the Baltic Sea– Strategies and reports review, data from ports– Analysis of transport flows/directions– Ports vs hubs– Motorways of the Sea concept– Major investments, clean shipping regulations– LNG Terminals development– Issues of port waste management/BWM
