Evac Complete Cleantech Solution

There’s more to vacuum drainage systems than an airplane or marine toilet – it is a complete plumbing system that follows more simple rules than a conventional gravity drainage system. Vacuum pumps create the vacuum in the system, and wastewater is transported as air is withdrawn rather than by water and its own weight.

Vacuum mobile toilets provide high water savings, leading to a reduction in wastewater storage tank volume as well as water consumption. This way there is no need for a trade-off between user comfort and off grid situations.

They also offer a more pleasant user experience with less residual odor, cleaner flushing and no chemical use or recirculation.

The flexibility in temporary or definitive piping layout makes them ideal for above ground and modular installations such as events, worker camps or containerized hotels and offices. In sensitive areas such as Alaska or preserved islands, the installation, remodelling and dismantling of living prefab modules is quick and has no impact on the environment.

Following 2018 earthquake in the region, the park sanitation facilities has been totally renewed. Evac supplied hundreds of autonomous systems throughout the 720 km2 of park in either trailers or tourists buses to serves up to 40,000 people a day.

Evac vacuum toilets offer a more sanitary environment than traditional gravity toilets as they also flush 60 litres of odours, mists, and bacteria. So, when hundreds of visitors are using the public toilets, Evac vacuum toilets are making it safer.

In addition, the risk of leakage with a vacuum piping system is greatly reduced because of the pressure differential which sucks air instead of leaking water out in case of a pipe breach.

Evac vacuum toilets and greywater interfaces do not need vent stacks anymore, the odour is safely sent away and optionally filtered at the point of collection.And thanks to the system flexibility, there is no need to store wastewater near the public.

Compared to chemical toilets, it is as comfortable as home, and greener.

Minimize the logistic during the event with high water saving

The Evac vacuum toilet offers up to 90% saving on flushing water compared to a standard toilet. Our vacuum toilets use only 1.2 litres per flush, and our vacuum urinals only 0.6 litres per flush. In comparison, a dual-flush toilet uses 4–9 litres per flush.

Free from gravity constraints, the Evac technology opens new possibilities in terms of toilets, bathrooms and kitchen location and layout.

Trailers can be located around the event facility where it could not in the past and still be discharged where it is the most convenient, near a sewer or where vacuum truck can easily access. Wastewater can be transported around obstacles, overhead or horizontally without a continuous slope using flexible white piping of smaller diameter than gravity drainage.

It also enables flexibility in the trailer design itself, offering the possibility to route the piping according to your needs not the gravity constraints, locate the collecting tank anywhere in the trailer or in another location where more space is available, or arrange servicing access from the back to minimise disruption.

Evac technology also covers you during the rush. Blockages and sedimentation are non-existent thanks to the high water velocity in the vacuum pipe. Consequently, pipe cleaning operations or constant pumping are not needed anymore, even with last minute traffic increase.

Installation FlexibilityWith no need for a continuous slope, wastewater can be routed around obstacles and transported vertically and horizontally, providing excellent flexibility in terms of trailer layout.

Moscow metro public toilets cabins, Russia

The network serves about 7 million people per day across 196 stations. Users, especially the elderly, have long needed toilets to be installed as the stations can be very deep underground. The new restroom has been installed on a platform at Prospekt Mira metro station where it is easily accessible. The new Evac vacuum toilet is environmentally friendly and does not have any leaks or smells. It also has the advantage of being a completely self-contained unit which does not need connection to sewage or water mains.
