PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN (Never known to fail)Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven. Blessed Mother of the Son of God. Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con- ceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. Thank you for favor received. M.A.R.
DEAR HEART OF Jesus In the past I have asked for many favors, this time I ask you for this very special one. Take it Dear Jesus and place it within your bro- ken heart where your father will see it. Then in your merciful eyes, it will become your favor, not mine. Amen. Say this prayer for 3 days, promise to publish it and your favor will be granted. J.M.C.

Pete Bardunias, President/CEO, the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County
Please Visit the Saratoga County Fair, July 17-22
This year, the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County is proud to be a major sponsor of the Saratoga County Fair, located at 162 Prospect Street in Ballston Spa, open 9AM till midnight on July 17-22, 2012. One of the oldest county fairs in the USA, the Saratoga County Fair features the best in family entertain-ment. There’s a large amusement midway, 30 acres of entertainment, talent shows and exhibits, and over 100 vendors with great food and unique crafts and services. The 30 foot square Chamber tent will be located in the family section of the midway, and feature vehicles on display from some of our member car dealers in addition to our 45th Anniversary automobile, a 1967 Ford Galaxie convertible on loan from Tom Koval of Koval Electric in Halfmoon. We also will have a water tast-ing contest on Friday, July 20, and exhibits and displays from our 1030-plus member businesses. We are proud to be the local chamber of commerce for most of the southern Saratoga community, and more than 30 of the displays at the Fair will be done in whole or in part by members of this organization. We also are sharing this display tent with our colleagues at the Ballston Spa Business and Professionals Association (BPA), the Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake BPA, the Mechanicville/Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, and the Malta BPA.
Also, the Taste of Saratoga County will showcase local-ly grown or made products, food, beer and wine, spon-sored by the Saratogian newspaper, the Linda (WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio), and the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County. General Admission is $10. A special thanks goes out to Jeff Townsend and his crew at the Fair for organizing perhaps the best Fair ever despite a year of financial challenges! Visit saratogacountyfair.org , call (518) 885-9701 or stop by the Chamber of-fice in Clifton Park for more information.
News Release:94-YEAR OLD
WWII VETERAN THROWS OUT FIRST PITCH
AT EAST FIELDJune 26, 2012 - Salvatore Marcantonio, a 94-year-old local veteran threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Hudson River Community Credit Union’s (HRCCU) Community Heroes Night with the Glens Falls Golden Eagles on Saturday, June 23 at 7:00 pm. Sal, who after returning from the war, played baseball for the Glens Falls Merchants in 1946 and was player/manager of the Glens Falls Doblers from 1948-51. He and his teammates played ball on the recreation field located on the site of today’s Glens Falls Golden Eagles East Field Stadium. Additional local heroes in attendance for the game were: Garrett Stevens, Gen-evieve Scott, Steven Gosselin and Jason Ashline, seventh graders from Whitehall who turned their 13th birthday party into a food drive; Duane Vaughn, Executive Director of WAIT House; Sally Snowden and her dog Bailey from Lower Adirondack Search and Rescue and Matt Congdon, Director of the Glens Falls Youth Center.HRCCU sponsored the game as part of their Community Heroes campaign. Each month the Credit Union selects a group of Community Heroes and donates $5 for every new member who joins to a local non-profit organization that represents the local heroes. In July, all proceeds will be donated to the Lower Adirondack Search and Rescue Team.Hudson River Community Credit Union’s mission is to improve the well-being of members and their families by providing quality financial services with the best overall value.
