How it started
In October 2016, ya launched the Polaris project, a multi-phased Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) initiative to integrate and manage important parts
of their business. Leveraging Oracle’s Cloud solutions, their goal is to
create a solution that delivers:
Integrated Process and technology, Optimized and Leveraged for Accurate,
Real-time Information to serve our customers and drive Sales and EBITDA
growth.
The Process
Process
• The consulting team worked with functional business users from ya to
perform a single global design for the future state process utilizing Oracle
Cloud Financials, HCM, Sales Cloud, PPM and EPBCS products.
• Week long Design Showcase delivered by key business users to the
leadership team and peers
• Project Planning in multiple phases to deliver value at intervals that made
it easier to consume by the business
• Execution of plan - 12,538.5 total hours logged

• Increasing functionality increases time and cost to implement
• Disruptions will happen. Prepare contingencies ahead of time
• Business continuity is critical. More than one person should have the vision for
the company, and they need to be in synch
• Training is more valuable than you give it credit for
• Over communicate changes to the organization. Nothing is too small to tell your
front line workers. They will be the ones most affected by the small changes
