CONCEPT AND THEME

The concept of the project that I carried out is the Central of Public Transportation. This

idea came out where I’m on the journey back to my hometown, Sabah, during the

Christmas Holiday last year. On my way back, I took KTM Komuter that took me half an

hour to reach KL Sentral from Setia Jaya. On the Komuter, I realized that the KTM

Komuter could be considering as the mega-structure. Without hesitation, I pick Kuala

Lumpur Sentral as my choice. This album mainly focused on the interior and access of

the building itself.

RESEARCH

It is clear that Kuala Lumpur Sentral has development in progress. Lot A: Office Tower

that covers 834,000 sq. ft. own by CIMB cost RM 404mil. Lot B: Office Suites that

covers 1, 400, 000 sq. ft. own by MRCB, KUWAIT Finance House and Quil, cost RM1.2

Billion. Lot C: Mixed Development that covers 1, 400, 000 sq. ft. own by MRCB, Capital

and Quil. Lot E: Lifestyle Facility with Campus office that covers 578, 291 sq. ft. own by

MRCB. Finally, Lot G: Hotel & Office Tower. Hotel covers 300, 000sq. ft. Office covers

840, 000sq. ft. own by MRCB & ASEANA PROPERTIES.

The Kuala Lumpur Sentral Railway station was opened in 2001. The consortium led by

MRCB, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd appointed renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa

and associates to design all the development in 1994.
