COCONUT GROVEMIAMI

Just south of downtown and the beaches sits boutique shops, eclectic restaurants and Miami’s original art gallery district. Coconut Grove is best known for its lush green landscape bordered by the shimmering blue waters of Biscayne Bay.

From its beginnings in the late 1800’s, this magical place has attracted tycoons, artists, writers, and musicians galore and–truth be told–more than its share of kooks, eccentrics and free spirits. Coconut Grove has attracted adventurers since its beginnings. Long before Miami even existed, this tropical frontier village lured sailors and individualistic settlers into its quietly breathtaking natural setting with its wild sense of inspirational freedom. It’s no surprise Coconut Grove has been a haven of inspirations for such luminaries as Tennessee Williams, Robert Frost and Alexander Graham Bell.

QUICK FACTSPopulation of Coconut Grove is over 35,000 • A hub with spokes reaching Coral Gables, Little Havana, Brickell, South Beach and Key Biscayne (Total Reach of over 200,000) • Almost NO evangelical Christian Churches in The Grove • Appox. 98% unchurched in the area

Today, the village known to locals simply as “the Grove” is still a brilliant gem on the edge of the City of Miami. Though the sun can be found shining bright off the waters of Biscayne Bay any day, it’s the warm welcome of the Grove community that illuminates the area in a unique way. In the midst of a bustling world, the Grove remains a place of adventurous serenity awaiting discovery!

MIAMI

Waterfall Church is a new Christian church in Southeast Miami made up of people on a journey to the creator. Like a waterfall, we will be life giving, a community of faith that is first heard, felt then seen. To be a faithful presence within, impacting lives for Christ.

place and time...for the adventure that God has set before them. We want to be a church where sacred space is intentional...that fosters freedom, healing and vitality for all.

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” —Revelation 22:1-2 (NIV)

Waterfall Church will always be a church of the nations...a bridge between cultures. A mosaic of cultural expression, artistry and story that resonates into the community and around the world. Waterfall Church hopes to see many come and be raised up in Christ, discovering purpose,

PRAY. The most powerful tool we have at our disposal is intercessory prayer. We are asking you to stand with us and pray daily for our city and our church.

GO. It takes pioneers with vision to discover new land but settlers are key in establishing sustainable and thriving systems. We are believing for a number of individuals and families to be “sent” as missionaries to go and be a part of the adventure that God is unfolding in Miami.

GIVE. God works through the generosity of many to resource an extraordinary vision He has entrusted to us, ordinary people. Impact the city of Miami and the kingdom by becoming a partner in this way through your faithful contributions.

GETTING “IN ON THE ADVENTURE”SET UP A VISION MEETING

Our desire is to hear the heartbeat for ministry that Kings in God’s kingdom possess, and a desire to connect the vision that God has given us for the city of Miami to that heartbeat. Then to establish an ongoing partnership to carry the vision out! It is also a desire that all partners will pray through and carry this vision to anyone in their network or sphere of influence.

ATTEND LAUNCH TEAM MEETINGS

This is where we will carry out continued vision updates, leadership training and church strategy planning.

ATTEND, INVEST, INVITE

These events will be about the building of authentic relationships in the community with friends, neighbors and co-workers. These “hangouts” will be informal with a bit of vision shared at the end. We will utilize momentum here to build our launch team and interest for attending our church as well.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Get involved in community service projects that will be an integral and ongoing part of Waterfall Church.
