    Follow the instructions:1 Remove the water tank, ll to the MAX line

    with resh water (g 1A) then put back in theappliance (g 1B)

    2 Place a container with a minimum capacityo 100 ml under the cappuccino maker (g2)

    3 Plug the appliance into the mains socket and

    place the main switch on the back o the ap-pliance in the I position (g 3)4 The light fashes on the control panel

    Each time the appliance is turned on, it perormsan automatic preheat and rinse cycle which can-not be interrupted

    The appliance is ready or use only ater comple-tion o this cycle

    Danger o burns!During rinsing, a little hot water comes out othe coee spouts and is collected in the drip trayunderneathAvoid contact with splashes o water

    To turn the appliance on, press thebutton (g 7) The light fashes whilethe appliance is heating up and perormingan automatic rinse cycle By circulating hotwater, the appliance heats both the boiler andthe internal circuits

    The appliance is at temperature when thelight goes o and the lights corresponding to the

    selected coee taste and quantity come on

    coee correctly and should not require adjustinginitially However, i ater making the rst ewcoees you nd that the coee is too thin andnot creamy enough or that delivery is too slow(a drop at a time), this can be corrected by adju-sting the grinding adjustment knob (g 12)

    Please note!The grinding adjustment knob must only be tur-ned when the coee mill is in operation

    I the coee is delivered too slowly or not at all,turn one click clockwise towards 7

    For uller bodied creamiercoee, turn one click anti-clockwise towards 1 (donot turn more than one clickat a time otherwise the co-ee could be delivered a dropat a time)

    tip r a r cFor a hotter coee, beore delivery you are re-commended to: rinse the appliance through by pressing the

    button Hot water fows out o the coeespouts and heats the internal circuit o the

    machine so that the coee delivered will behotter warm the cups with hot water (using the hot

    water unction); select the high coffee temperature in the

    menu

    Important!Do not use caramelised or candied coee beans

    as they could stick to the coee mill and make itunusable1 Fill the container with coee beans (g 13)2 Place under the coee spouts:

    - 1 cup i you want one coee (g 10);- 2 cups i you want 2 coees

    3 Lower the spouts as near as possible to thecup This makes a creamier coee (g 14)

    4 Press the button corresponding to the num-

    ber o coees required (1 cup or 2cups , gs 11 and 15)

    5 Preparation begins and the lights correspon-ding to the taste and quantity o coee selec-ted are displayed

    Once the coee has been made, the applianceprepares or use again

    Please note: While the coffee maker is making coffee, de-

    livery can be interrupted at any moment bypressing one o the two coee buttons (

    or ) At the end o delivery, to increase the quan-

    tity o coee in the cup, just press (within 3seconds) one o the coee buttons ( or

    Important! Never add pre-ground coffee when the ma-

    chine is o or it could spread through theinside o the machine and dirty it This coulddamage the appliance

    Never use more than 1level measure or it coulddirty the inside o thecoee maker or block theunnel

    Please note:I you use pre-ground coee, you can only makeone cup o coee at a time

    1 Press the button repeatedly (g 9)until the symbol appears

    2 Put one level measure o pre-ground coeeinto the unnel (g 16)

    For a richer denser roth, use skimmed orpartially skimmed milk at rerigerator tempe-rature (about 5C)

    To avoid milk with poor roth or large bub-bles, always clean the cappuccino maker asdescribed in the section Cleaning the cap-puccino maker ater use

    telling you to turn the steam knobImmerse the cappuccino maker in the milkcontainer (g 17) Take care not to immer-se the raised line on the cappuccino maker(shown by the arrow in g 18)

    outwards and remove it by pulling it down-wards (g 19)

    3 Remove the nozzle downwards (g 20)4 Make sure the two holes shown by the arrow

    in g 21 are not blockedI necessary, clean with a pin

    5 Wash all parts o the cappuccino maker tho-roughly with a sponge and warm water6 Replace the nozzle and put the cappuccino

    maker back on the nozzle (g 22), turning itand pushing it upwards until it is attached

    Important!When removing the drip tray, the grounds con-tainer must be emptied, even i it contains ewgrounds

    I this is not done, when you make the next co-ees, the grounds container may ll up more thanexpected and clog the machine

    1 Check regularly (about once a week) that theinside o the appliance (accessible ater re-

    moving the drip tray) is not dirtyI necessary, remove coee deposits with thebrush and a sponge

    2 Remove the residues with a vacuum cleaner(g 25)

    once a month and whenever you replace thewater sotener lter (i provided) with a damp

    cloth and a little mild washing up liquid2 Remove the lter (i present) and rinse with
