FRAMEWORKThe “Lorraine Management Innovation Collegium (LMI)” is part of the University of Lorraine (UL)� UL is a Public Higher Education Institution located in the North East of France in the Lorraine Region� It represents 55,000 students, 6,680 em-ployees, 60 research laboratories, a budget of €567 million and more than 1800 PhD students� It is a Pluridisciplinary University� It offers courses in the areas of: Science, Health, Technology, Engineering sciences, Human and Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Management, the Arts, Humanities and Languages; These areas are organized within 9 Collegiums� The LMI Collegium includes two Schools of Management (ESM-IAE Metz and ISAM-IAE Nancy) and a faculty of Computer Science in Nancy (UFR MI Nancy)� The LMI offers degrees in Business Administra-tion, Computer and Cognitive Science and Natural Language Processing from Bachelor to Phd Level�The international relations development of the LMI Collegium and the recruit-ment of international students are one of its main targets� The ongoing develop-ment of international collaborations will enable us to reach our goals: on a tea-ching level by developing English courses, Degrees taught exclusively in English, double degrees, off-campus training course and scientific collaborations� By studying at UL, students are offered a wide range of French- and English-taught programmes that incorporate internships, consulting projects, company visits, in-dustry expert seminars, networking events and more� Our overarching goal is to provide students with a unique opportunity to interact with a broad and global network�ISAM-IAE Nancy and ESM-IAE Metz are the two Schools of Management at UL� They are both members of the network IAE France which connects 32 Institutes of Business Administration over the country for the advancement of Management teaching and research� UFR MI Nancy is one of the 20 members of the french MIAGE network� the Master of Cognitive Science is referenced by the unity RISC of CNRS and the Master in Natural Language Processing is part of the European Master in Language and Communication (LCT)�

ISAM-IAE
ISAM-IAE of NANCY created in 1956 provides extensive knowledge in Business Management, Social and Health-Care Management and Public Administration at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels� It continuously pursues excellence in management education by providing academic programs tightly connected with companies, NGOs, local authorities and public administrations, and with the state-of the-art research work, through its research centres in Management, Law and Political Science, Economics and Sociology� ISAM-IAE Nancy prepares manage-ment students to understand and respond to organizational and social challenges and provides support and further education opportunities for executives� ISAM-IAE Nancy offers a full range of management degrees, which are awarded by the Uni-versity of Lorraine and recognized by the French Ministry of Education� ISAM-IAE Nancy has over 40 international agreements with partner universities in Europe and around the world� Every year, about 50 students from ISAM-IAE study abroad, while about 30 international students come to ISAM-IAE Nancy�

ESM-IAE
ESM-IAE of METZ is a School of Management which was created almost 30 years ago, in 1988� It is one of the 32 members of IAE France, a network representing 47,000 students and 450,000 graduates over France� ESM-IAE is the faculty of Management in Metz of “Université de Lorraine” which was ranked best French university for students’ professional integration in the area of Law, Economics and Management�ESM-IAE offers high quality courses within its Bachelor degree in Management and a com-prehensive range of Master degrees in the fields of Management and Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Finance and Audit, Facility and Real Estate, Ma-nagement of Innovation� ESM-IAE keeps close connections to the business world of the Greater Region and has developed a consistent network of academic international partners, parti-cularly in Germany, thus ensuring exceptional employability to the students� The School has indeed established many partnerships in order to adapt its programmes to the evolutions of the working world in various business fields� We can mention Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne, EDF, Groupe Accor, HSBC, KPMG, Vinci, PwC, Airbus …ESM-IAE makes student success a priority by maintaining strong bonds to the corporate world via mandatory internships, the contribution of professional experts to different courses and by developing research programs conducted by high-quality academic teams�

UFR MI
UFR MI NANCY is a faculty of Computer Science created in the 1970s, training high-level desi-gners and executives in computer science, cognitive science and innovation, specially looked for their multi-disciplinary skills� The students learn competences in different scientific and technical fields, are able to unders-tand and integrate the strategic and innovative areas of the company through three Master programmes:
• MIAGE (Computer Science Technology Applicable to the Management of Infor-mation System),
• SCA (Cognitive Sciences and Applications),• TAL (Natural Language Processing)�
The faculty UFR MI Nancy continues to develop the diversification of its innovative degrees, in collaboration with companies and its international relations network, as well as its important research activities�UFR MI Nancy is involved in a lot of Erasmus programmes in Germany, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Netherlands� The TAL speciality of the SCA Master is integrated into the Erasmus Mundus European Master «Language and Communication Technologies (LCT)», which repre-sents a recognition of the quality of training at the UFR MI Nancy

STUDYING AT THE LMI COLLEGIUM
These English courses are intended for International and French students who have completed six to eight academic semesters of study (180 to 240 ECTS) at un-dergraduate level in Management, Human resources, Finance, Marketing, Business and Administration, Accounting, auditing, language and communication technology. For French students it will be for their M1 or M2 Master degree level.

The University of Lorraine applies the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One ECTS represents approximately 28 hours of work, which include lectures, applied exercises, lab work and private study. You can earn 30 credits per semester; a full academic year is 60 credits.

STUDENT LIFE IN NANCY AND METZ
