school and church. Don’t

wait. You’ll be too late.

It is with deep sadness that we announce:

Robin Lynch passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

Bill Pearigen passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Adult Study Group: We meet in the Chapel for great lessons, good fel-

lowship, music & refreshments. All are welcome, come join us.

Exodus Class: We're currently studying “Faith from the Back Side” by J. Ellsworth Kalas. We meet in room 253. Comprised of couples and singles

with and without children. Ages 30s to 50s. Everyone welcome.

Fidelis: 10/29/17 The purpose of our lesson today was "to be able to admit

our faults and pledge ourselves to a life that honors our relationship with

God". Charles Gilliland did his usual excellent job of teaching and discus-

sion. We had 19 members present and two visitors. Our class is deeply

saddened by the death of our member, Bill Pearigen, who died early Sun-

day morning. He will be missed by all. We are very happy to have Pat Ber-ry back home. She has been missed. Thanks to Bill Fuller and Mary Truitt

for the beautiful music. We welcome visitors any time. We meet in the

Fellowship Hall.

Covenant Class: The Covenant Class is an adult intergenerational fellow-

ship of couples and singles. The class uses a discussion format with scrip-

turally based studies. Our emphasis is on seeking a contemporary under-

standing and how to apply Jesus’ teaching in our everyday lives. We are

currently discussing James Moore’s book, When You’re a Christian, the Whole World Is from Missouri, Living the Life of Faith in a “Show Me”

World. We welcome guests and new congregants to join us in our fellow-

ship. Contact Information: Location: Room 105, first floor of the

Education wing. Class Facilitator: Abbott Jordan E-mail: abbottjor-

[email protected]

Friendship: Our class studies short term books on a variety of Christian

topics. If you are looking for a Sunday School class, please consider visiting

with us. We meet in Room 215, above the Fellowship Hall, at 9:45 am.

Wesleyan Class: Sunday, November 5, 2017. Don't forget to set your

clocks back one hour on Saturday night. We will be meeting with the Fidelis Class again this Sunday. Tyrrell Bond will be teach-

ing. Title of Lesson: God’s Conditional Covenant Purpose: To understand

the our service to God is built upon integrity and fidelity to our commit-ments to God and to others. Background Text: Numbers 25; 1 Samuel

2:27-36 Key Verses: 1 Samuel 2:35.

Junior High/Senior High Sunday School: Join us in Room 250 for lively

Bible lessons & discussions that will help jumpstart your week at 9:45 am

each Sunday morning.

President of Forever Young Senior Wish

Forever Young's mission is to give hope to senior veterans, 65 years and older, by granting their unfulfilled dreams. Hope for the future is important for the emotional well-being of senior adults. She will be sharing highlights from their recent trip to Pearl Harbor.

This dinner honoring our veterans is open to all. The United Methodist Men are provid-ing dinner at no cost to attendees, and we wish to have veterans, their family and friends on hand to celebrate with them the service and sacrifice they have made to protect our freedom.
