DO’S & DON’TSFOR MATERIAL STORAGE

Store in a clean and dry area, and away rom access to

open areas. Protect with waterproo covers, i let in theopen.

Maintain a clear gap o at least 30cm between thesheet packet and ground. I material is not required or

immediate use, stack them neatly o the ground.

Don’t keep heavy material on stacked sheets. This candamage the surace o the sheets.

Don’t place sheets vertically without proper support.

Store in maximum stacks o our to allow easy handlingand storage.

Keep a gap o at least 10cm between two packets.

Don’t keep sheets directly on the ground or in a damparea.

Don’t let the surace get wet.

Inspect the storage site regularly to ensure that moisture

has not aected the stock.

Maintain a minimum slope o 5 (1:10) during stacking sothat i rain penetrates the covering, water will drain away

and not orm a water pond.

Don’t store products o dierent proles together. Instead,store similar proles together with due consideration to

width and length.

I stacked or bundled product becomes wet, separate itwithout delay. Wipe it with a clean cloth and stack it to

dry thoroughly.

Place the sheet gently to ensure that it is not damaged.

Don’t slide sheets over rough suraces or over each other.Don’t drag tools; always carry them.

Don’t use metal chains or liting sheets.

Ensure that you place the sheet on the ground, and noton other materials, while cutting. This is to keep the nish

o the sheet sae rom alling hot particles. Always removethe guard lm rom the sheet beore installation.

Position the groove portion on the inner side. This willensure that the air gap on the let does not let water

travel upwards.

Paint all structural members (such as tubes, HSS, anglesand channels) except zinc-coated ones beore xing the

sheets. Use neutral cure silicone rubber sealants.

Clean the roo with clear water or mild detergent. Use

a sot cloth, mop or nylon bristle brush to avoid swar stains and rust.

Don’t position the groove portion on the outer side.Improper contacts make the roo susceptible to water

leakages.

Don’t leave metal articles on the roo. Don’t throw birdeed on the roo as bird droppings can damage the look

o the sheets.

Don’t use acetic acid-based sealants, abrasive/ solventtype cleansers or harsh products to clean the sheet as it

sotens the paint lm.

DO’S & DON’TSFOR INSTALLATION

Always use recommended protective gear (high visibility

vests, eyewear, helmet, hand gloves & sot-soled shoes)while handling & installing the sheets.

Don’t keep colour coated sheets near cement, dirt and

chemicals like paint and thinner.

Don’t install sheets on the roo during the rains as theywill get wet and slippery.

Use a power saw with a metal-cutting blade to cut thin

metals. This leaves less resultant burr and nimbler hotmetal particles as compared to a carborundum disc.

Don’t use stainless steel screws, J-hook and bitumenwashers as they may damage the sheet.

Place Everest roo screws through the crests. Screws can

be crest or valley-xed or walling. Utilise Everest screws/ asteners with Everest EPDM rubber sealing washers.

Don’t overdrive or under drive the screw as it can cause

water leakage or washer damage.

Don’t walk on the single rib, sheet, end laps, gutter andskylight sheets.

Keep your weight evenly distributed over the soles o both eet to keep rom concentrating your weight oneither heels or toes. Keep the eet on purlin position.
