COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS – REMINDER!
When working on a commercial, it is a requirement that you fill out your contract. Please contact ACTRA or your agent if the producer
doesn’t have a contract ready for you.
To better assist the processing of your payments and to support you while working on a commercial we would like to remind all Members to
confirm the following:
1. Please fill out the contract legibly and fully. 2. Please provide your address and your phone number not your
agents. It is crucial that we have an updated phone number and address for you at all times it is equally important that the Producer has your updated information to pay you with. There is an additional box for you to list your agent. Please do so in that box
3. Sign your contract. In both the signature area and initial at the bottom. If you have any concerns with your contract please don’t hesitate to call our Commercial Steward, Janna Gummo (403.228.3123 ext .3) she would be happy to assist you with any concerns you may have.
4. Please list your SIN number. Producers require this number in order to pay you. ACTRA may have your number on file but the Producer or Agency you are working for doesn’t.
5. CHECK/REVIEW YOUR CONTRACT! We steward based on the information on your contract, so please ensure it is accurate. If something is incorrect and you don’t feel comfortable addressing it on set please contact the ACTRA office immediately. We would be happy to confidentially address any issue that arises for you.

the technical world of "the camera". Every student will work ON camera every class. We will focus primarily on the audition room but some set information always comes out.
Chantal Perron offers 10 years of experience, specifically, in the Alberta film industry.

Upstart is an Alberta based film and television talent development program presented by AMPIA, Jonathan Joffe Pictures, and coordinated by Calgary actor Karen Ryan. Now in its 12th term in Calgary, over 200 Upstart participants have performed in hundreds of scenes which
have been shot and edited for the review of everyone involved.
