NICK BOKSA, P.E. has more than 15 years of experience managing
the architectural design and engineering of commercial vessels and
pleasure yachts. Growing up on Lake Michigan, Boksa developed a love
for the water as well as marine craft. After graduating from the U.S.
Merchant Marine Academy and the University of Michigan with degrees
in naval architecture and marine engineering, Boksa spent time working
with Burger Boat Company, Davis Yachts and OSG America.
He founded Boksa Marine Design in 2003.
Boksa is a licensed USCG Third Assistant Engineer and has worked in
port and at sea managing vessel maintenance for various container
ships and tankers. He was both a shipyard superintendent and fl eet
naval architect for ATB tug boats, tank barges and tank ships. Boksa
has also held numerous design manager positions for refi t, retrofi t and
new construction projects for tug boats and tank barges.

RECENT PROJECTS In partnership with DONJON MARINE CO., provided engineering solutions and stability work for the 740’ Lakes Contender articulated barge ■ Complete design and engineering services for 48’ Pilot Boat for TECNIMAR S.A. OF COLOMBIA ■ In conjunction with KONACAT, developed the KonaCat 85’ Passenger Catamaran ■ Provided engineering services for the MAINE MARITIME ACADEMY’S T/S STATE OF MAINE through a project with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Maritime Administration Agency (MARAD) ■ Joined with HANN POWERBOATS to develop a 40’ Peacemaker fast patrol craft ■ Converted FRP designs to aluminum workboats for XO Marine (Rivolta Yachts)
