City Council meeting Feb 11/20 On the agenda Support for the Chamber Arising out of the Feb 4th Committee of the Whole meeting, Council will vote to ratify that the City provide the Merritt and District Chamber of Commerce with funding in the amount of $5,000 from the Council Contingency fund. And that they work as a partner with the group, to establish the Chamber as the primary voice for businesses in Merritt. Grants in Aid City Council will be asked to vote on the Grants In Aid, as outlined at the Feb 4th Committee of the Whole meeting. In the 2020 financial plan there is $50,000 set aside for Grant in Aid re- quests, approved in October 2019. A list of the potential recipients is included online: about $13,000 of the $50,000 is in- kind donations, ie. use of City facilities.
