The Respect in Sport Parent Program is an effective and informative online training program for parents of active children. The one-hour online certification program reinforces a parent’s role in a child or youth’s activities, encouraging positive sport behaviours and providing insight into the various roles other individuals (such as coaches and officials) play. It empowers parents to ensure the safety of their children, encourage positive and effective communication,
and to enhance a child’s fun and camaraderie. The number one reason cited by coaches, managers and officials of all ages who leave a sport is unacceptable parental behavior. Let the Respect in Sport Parent Program help assert proper parent behaviours to create a more rewarding, safe and respectful environment for all parties involved.
Respect in Sport is an online training course for coaches and sports leaders and is the equivalent to a certification
received when taking a Speakout! course. It is designed as a tool to assist coaches in identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment and bullying in sport. The online course curriculum is broken into six (6), 30-minute modules and includes audio/visual presentations, quizzes and printable handouts. The course can be completed at your leisure. Although she must admit that the dance that releases her inner gangsta is her favourite, hip hop baby! • Vix Meyer Personal Development CoachI’m often asked “What is a personal development life coach?” I assist and support individual souls to question their thoughts and their beliefs, as that is what creates our feelings and our realities. We all want to pursue happiness, and through my ups and downs, I’ve taken many personal and spiritual routes to find out: what makes happiness!?
I’ve taken many courses, and studied personal development topics for over a decade. Along the way, I’ve cultivated some practices and utilized some tools that have helped me find more joy and peace, than I ever thought possible. My friends and family are constantly supporting me, cheering me on, and teaching me to live life more fully. I’ve been told that I have a gift in helping others find their own self-acceptance and I feel very blessed when given opportunities to share that gift with others.
• A few words from Electric Lu…Fitness is an attitude, a lifestyle, not a routine. I’m living the dream here in Clearwater, sharing my knowledge, life experiences with resistance training, rehab and nutrition. Fitness makes me feel alive, confident and powerful!! I live for all the challenges that it brings me everyday. The mental, emotional and physical stimulation...what a feeling!! This is what fitness and healthy living has been and is doing for me.
• Ali MacBoudreau R.H.N.Ali is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who specializes in women’s hormonal and reproductive health. She is passionate about guiding women, step-by-step, to learn how to support their health through real food, lifestyle changes, and mindset. You can learn more about Ali and her work at www.holisticali.com.
• Sylvia Arduini Yoga InstructorMy name is Sylvia Arduini, I am a long-time resident of Clearwater, and have been interested in physical activity for much of my adult life. 2 years ago a friend of mine had just completed her Yoga instructor certification and said it was the best personal development she had ever given herself. I was approaching retirement and I was inspired. Off to Costa Rica I travelled wondering, “What am I getting myself into?!” They say if you do something for 21 days you will form a new habit. I entered into 10 hours per day for 21 days of total Yoga immersion. This experience led me to a new path in my life and I am happy to have been sharing it with our community for the past 2 years.
