• Each associate was asked to answer the two questions with three main ideas each– What we came up with was then

categorized under one of the values of the agency (I.C.A.R.E.)

• Once comments were placed under one of the categories– Each associate was asked to scan all

the comments (except for their own) and realign them under one of the other core value areas – if needed

Possible restructure of StArcky Day Hab schedules

Enjoyable structured activities

Motivate individuals to do for themselves

Help others increase in identified goal areas

Help individuals meet others and make new friends

Advocate for individuals ensuring they get services they value

Deliver services less difficult for the person to succeed then increase as we go along

I try different activities to see how my group likes it

Take the time to work on goals, clearly explain and answer questions

Listen to what the individual really likes and wants without passing judgment Without solving problems for them

Use humor Focus on humor/jokes to keep people motivated Make them laugh even when they are sad. Humor is the best!

Community Supports’ mission is to provide encouragement and support to the individual in partnership with educated and trained associates, using the most holistic approaches in a spirit of understanding, and in celebration of each one’s accomplishments. Through continued lifelong learning strategies addressing the entire person, the individual will build the confidence needed

to maximize on their full potential, and to become an inclusive part of their community.
