QLD PARE Evaluation Poster

• Participants created a poster to describe whataction research and evaluation means to them

• The word PICTURE is used to focus on aspectsthat evaluation needs to convey and shareideas about why evaluation is important

• Phrases about why Aboriginal children’s servicesvalue evaluation are included in smaller barsacross the poster

• 12 participants completed an accreditedmodule with a large evaluationcomponent in the Diploma of CommunityEducation through RMIT

• Workshop held over two and half days inJuly with a follow-up/ show and tellworkshop planned for 2008

• Collaboration between Aboriginal Health Councilof South Australia and SNAICC in partnershipwith Aboriginal Childcare & Children’s Well-Being services

• Aboriginal Health Council is the peak body forAboriginal community controlled health servicesand works with the Centre for Co-operativeResearch and Education to increase the numberof Aboriginal people doing research andevaluation
