The Role

Team Lead, Accounts Payable

Full Time

Department: Finance/Accounting

Calgary, Alberta

Posting Close Date: March 26, 2018

As part of the Accounting/Finance Team, reporting into the Controller, this role will be responsible for

leading the Accounts Payable function, including the processes and supervision of the team and

providing assistance across the Company. This position is also required to ensure the accounts payable

team has timely monthly financial closings.

Responsibilities

Duties include the following, but are not limited to:

• Supervise a team and lead all accounts payable functions including vendor relations,

disbursements, cheque runs, etc.

• Complete month-end closing reviews and posting of month end information

• Provide assistance to all staff as appropriate, notably Field Operations and the Supply Chain

function

• Support the Field through the property tax process

• Maintain systems, procedures and policies, within the accounts payable functions to ensure

adherence to company guidelines and our internal control environment

• Support the Treasury function with the cash flow forecasting process

• Complete monthly account reconciliations

• Ability to streamline processes and strive for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years’ accounts payable experience, including at least five years of leading an

accounts payable function

• Accounting degree/designation would be considered an asset

• Qbyte and advanced Excel skills

• Open Invoice knowledge would be an asset

• Strong communication skills

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
