De- addiction camp was organized by university in March 2017

4 Rajasthan Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bikaner

1. In Kissan gosthie organized on 16-03-2017 farmers were educated about conservation of Animal Biodiversity and its importance.

2. The process for establishment of Information Centre is under process. Touch Screen Kiosk will be installed in the Information Centre, which will provide information regarding scientific animal husbandry practices and update the knowledge of villagers. Computer & Internet facilities will be started in the centre. Other:-

(i) As per the directives of Hon'ble Governor, Rajasthan, a medical health camp was organized on 10-03-2017 in coordination with Deptt. Of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Bikaner. About 101 patients were treated in the camp. A gosthie was also organized on De-addiction. Villagers were educated and motivated to leave any type of addiction.

Regarding Construction of street roads

(ii) The issue has been discussed with panchayat Officials. They assured to take proposal for it in panchayat meeting and work will start as soon as possible.

5 Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner

No new activity has been taken up by the University Previous activities have been mentioned in the report which are as follows:-

Works of Rs. 12,77,235/- lakhs undertaken by University (Boundary wall of Community Centre, Toilets in upper primary School, Maintenance works in Community Centre, Sports equipment in Govt.Sr.Sec.School, School Dresses for Students, Completed Pond work of Rs.5,50,000,Etc.)

E-initiatives- 4 computers with printers provided to Govt.Sr.Sec.School under e-initiatives. University is also providing computer and internet education services.

In this month, de-addiction camp was organized on 30-03-2017. Counseling of villagers was done for de-addiction by specialist doctor. Necessary treatment and motivation was also given to villagers by university team.

E-initiatives- Smart health app developed by RUHS for smooth & faster surveillance about diseases among the villagers and for their holistic care.

10 Shri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner (Jaipur)

Organized two days District Level Seminar “Recent Advances in Seed Spices Production” from 21 to 22 March, 2017 under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) sponsored by Directorate of Areca nut and Spices Development, Calicut (Kerala).

Organized one day campaign on drug addiction at Idan ka Bas on 23-03-2017 in which about 110 farmers/farm women participated and benefited.

One day training on “Seed Spices production Technology” was organized on 28 March, 2017 under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) sponsored by Director, Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development, Calicut (Kerala) in which about 131 farmers/farm women participated and benefited.

E-initiatives 107 farmers were registred at m-kisan portal where they are receiving the message related to new agricultural technology on their mobile phones.

11 Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur

The Nodal Officer with NSS team along with NSS volunteers & satpanch of Nandra Kalan Village carried over De-addiction awareness camp at Nandra Kalan Village. The motivation was also given the awareness about the benefit to adopt de-addiction.

E-initiative:- Two computer laboratory were set up as per the commitment. one computer lab established in Govt. Secondary School, Nandra kalla village for the students. Another One established at Atal Sewa Kendra for the villagers.

12 Dr. Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University Jodhpur

1. The march on de-addiction was organized by university staff & NSS candidates which was headed by Hon’ble VC sir

2. A lecture on de-addiction was delivered to the villagers by university representative on dated 30-03-2017.

3. De-addiction Camp was held on dated 30-03-2017 and in this camp patients were treated.

Sardar Patel Police Security and Criminal Justice University, Jodhpur

1. Upgradation of school from Secondary to Senior Secondary. 2. Transportation connectivity with city. 3. Sewerage system. 4. Plantation near pond area. 5. Undere-literacy project, 2 Information Assistants have been appointed to

take lectures on Basics students and further villagers.

6. Awareness regarding personal & public cleanliness. E-initiatives

Two Information Assistants have been appointed wide order no. 2383 dated 01.09.2016 for series of lectures on E-literacy. Both IAs are taking theory and practical classes in Government Secondary School of Lordi Pandit ji.

14 Agricultural University, Jodhpur

1. Visited the frontline demonstration and collected yield data of the demos for record. It was observed that farmers were impressed with newly released varieties of the crops as they are high yielding and tolorent to diseases and insect pest. Farmers were also advised to keep the produce to be used for seed next year.

2. Visited smart village Neora road village. Later on all scientists visited the farm of Shri Goverdhan Ram and other neighbor farmers to see different component of Integrated farming system like Dairy, Horti. Crops Aonla, Ber, field crops like wheat, carrot, mustared, onion, Lucerne, solar plate for generating lights, farm pond, vegetables and provided them the technical back stopping etc.

3. Sent information for installation of smart board in the village school to the CEO, Sarika Kulkarni, CEO- IIFL Foundation, IIFL centre, Kamla City; Lower parel, Mumbai has agreed to provide one smart board for Govt. Hr. Secondary School, Neora Road. The CEO for this purpose will visit the smart village in next month along with Nodal officer.

E-initiatives taken up by University :- Very soon University starts E-learning classes for the farmers on modern agriculture and advance technologies.

16 Agriculture University, Kota

(For village Chachlao) 1.Field Day:- To disseminate the improved production technology, a field day

was organized on 07-03-2017 on crop gram variety Pratap Chana-I, which demonstration was laid out under National Food Security Mission (NFSM). In this field day, 34 farmers and farm women participated and they were well acquainted with technology demonstrated by scientist. E-Initiatives Contacted to Local E- Mitra for rural youth (School dropout) in E-initiative.

(For village Chomakot) 1. Training programme on seed spices conducted on 16-03-2017 and 45 farm

women participated 2. Field day conducted on 23-03-2017 and 25 farmers participated. E-governance E-initiative has been planned. A person has been deputed in the village for this purpose. One smart class room developed in senior secondary school of smart village with assistance if India info Line foundation Mumbai.

17 Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota

Organized a De-addiction camp in the village. In which villagers were motivated for de-addiction and made them aware about the ill effects of addiction.

Efforts have been made to develop the Smart Village as an Agriculture and

Rural Tourism spot and villagers were motivated to associate themselves to

the activities.

Students of Se.Sec. Sanskrit School were provided the knowledge on

personal development, advantage of blood donation, balance diet and yoga

exercise. Tips were also given to the Girls students for self defence and

about swimming techniques.

E-initiatives

Experts from Information technology provided hand-on computer training

to the school students & youth of the village during their visits at Dungarjya.

MPUAT Activities (a) Human Resource Development (i) A survey cum workshop on “Use of solar energy for Rural and Agriculture

Applications” was conducted on 4th

March, 2017 at village Chhali. About 40 farmers with their spouse participated in the workshop.

(ii) Farmers were demonstrated use of solar pump for irrigation purpose through lecture as well as film. The Govt. of Rajasthan solar policy for irrigation was also explained, other applications of solar energy like solar dryers, solar lanters, stand alone solar home lighting system were demonstrated through lecture and film.

(b) Demonstrations (i) Harvesting of mustard completed and gram in progress. Due to

favourable weather and irrigation facilities good yield is expected. (ii) Okra demo crops good. (c) Other extension activeties (i) The NSS unit of College of fisheries organized one day special camp on

6.3.17 in adopted village Chhali. Forty four NSS volunteers of the college participated and organized rally for mass awareness and appealed villagers regarding save water, Cleaning of surrounding environment, educate their children especially the girls. Slogans were written on the well of village and also appealed to villagers for saving girl child and educate them. Some of the volunteers also taught maths and science to

class X students as there is no Science teacher in the school. (ii) The Nss student of College of Dairy and Food Science Technology,

Udaipur ortganized two days NSS camp in adopted villages viz. Kadechawas, Undithal and Chhali on 20-21 March, 2017. Thirty nine NSS volunteers of college along with teacher participated.

The NSS volunteers carried out survey on milch animals and made the farmers aware about hygienic milk production, hygienic fruit and vegetable production, importance of personal hygiene, detection of adulteration in milk. A skit (Nukad Natak) on importance of “Hygienic milk and food products” was also organized. An Awareness Rally was also conducted in adopted villages on various issues like water conservation, save girl child, Clean India Mission, personal hygiene, use of toilests etc. There was good participation of villagers also.

(iii) The NSS students of College of Technology and Engineering also organized one day camp in adopted village Chhali on 21-03-2017. Eighty NSS volunteers with two teachers participated in the camp. The farmers were awared about water and soil conservation, waste land management, solar and renewable energy, health, hygiene, cleanliness and also about de-addiction- tobacco, liquor etc.

(d) Convergence with line departments (i) The SARAS Dairy, Udaipur opened their milk collection centre at village

Chhali. Now two milk collections exist in Gram Panchayat and more farmers are becoming members of the society.

(ii) Efforts are being made for Mini Bank Branch/Bank correspondent at Chhali. Talks are going on with SBI, Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank.

(iii) Efforts are being made for providing free of cost gas cook stove to tribal farmers under “Ujjwala”programme of Prime Minister. The Collector and Distt. Supply Officer have been requested for the same.

(iv) Efforts are being made with BSNL for early net connectivity at Atal Seva Kendra under PM Digital India Programme.

(v) Efforts are also being made for establishing mobile tower in the area and the Companies like Vodafone, Idea and Airtel have been approached.

E-initiative taken by University Three Smart Class room established at Primary School Undithal, Secondary School Kadechawas and Sr. Secondary School Chhali, with support from IIFL. Mumbai. Students are taking advantage of this new technology. Four Smart Class rooms have also been established with support from IIFL, Mumbai in four villages adopted by sister Agricultural Universities in other parts of state. Specific activity of the month (De-addiction Camp) The NSS volunteers of three colleges organized camps in the adopted villages and awared farmers about the harmful effects of liquor and tobacco sought support of women in discouraging consumption of liquor & tobacco by their husbands.
