Irrigation Intake Channel Sediment Removal Project

Agreements exist between USACE, Reclamation, and Arch Hurley Conservancy District (AHCD) for O&M of the water delivery system from Conchas Dam

Channel has never been cleaned out Low lake levels make this an opportune time

t l t th h lto clean out the channel Approvals obtained and work began 10 Jun Reclamation is ahead of schedule and should

complete removing 5000 cu yds by 20 Juncomplete removing ~5000 cu-yds by 20 Jun Once work is complete, AHCD intends to wait

until the reservoir reaches ~4161.5 ft before taking water by gravity flow for irrigationtaking water by gravity flow for irrigation

Agreements do allow AHCD to pump water between 4155.0 ft and 4161.5 ft, however they are not in a position to do so at this time
