French fashion exclusiveOver 100 emblematic haute couture garments created by France’s leading fashion designers will feature in a major exhibition from 25 October 2014 to 1 February 2015. Drawn from the most comprehensive collection of French fashion in the world, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

What’s new to the collectionArt Gallery Director, Nick Mitzevich first saw the moving image work Depart without return by Shoufay Derz in the Alice Prize in 2012. This compelling work of art is now part of the Art Gallery’s expanding moving image collection and will be shown for the first time during the 2014 Adelaide Biennial.

GETTING HEREThe Art Gallery is located on North Terrace, Adelaide’s cultural boulevard, between the South Australian Museum and the University of Adelaide. North Terrace runs east-west, along the northern edge of the CBD and is well serviced by public transport including buses and trams.

PAID PARKINGParking is available opposite the Art Gallery in the Wilson’s car park on North Terrace. Other car parks are available nearby.

ACCESSWheelchair and pram access is available to all areas of the Art Gallery. Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the North Terrace main entrance. Please telephone 08 8207 7000 in advance of your visit for more information or to reserve a wheelchair.
