Summer Fun The month of June ushers in the much-anticipated beginning of summer fun. It is best known for the celebration of Father’s Day and a multitude of weddings. But we have found yet another reason to love the 6th month of the year. June is National Dairy Month. You’ll notice lots of activities that feature Ice Cream on this month’s calendar! Join us for Coke Floats as we go “Down Memory Lane” in the private dining room on June 9th. Bring along an object that holds a special meaning or a story about a past memory to share! On June 16th we’ll enjoy Frozen Fruit Ice while Jeffro Hyde provides entertainment! Don’t miss our celebration of “Ice Cream Soda Day” featuring Purple Cow Sodas on June 30th!

Special Book Signing Event

On Tuesday, June 2nd, you are invited to join Sue Mocker, author of the book, “The Hope Factor,” as she shares her personal story of finding hope amid the adversities of life. You will not want to miss her testimony of how God changed her life through hopefulness. In her book, Sue offers a “Hope Pie” process that can help those who are struggling. She will also have books on hand for purchase and will be available to sign them if you desire. Join us in the private dining room for this special presentation. Refreshments will be served.

One of the sweetest holidays of the year is National Doughnut Day, initially established to commemorate The Salvation Army volunteers who provided doughnuts to soldiers in WWI. We plan to celebrate Doughnut Day with a fun activity we’re calling “Duets and Doughnuts!” Join us in the private dining room on Tuesday, June 23rd for doughnuts and musical duets performed by our Mt. Carmel Community family.

Every June we set aside a day to honor our fathers and celebrate their influence on our lives. Mt. Carmel Community at The Village is blessed to have so many precious men among our number. We want to join your family members in wishing you a Happy Father’s Day! We’ll celebrate Father’s Day with a cookout in honor of these amazing men at lunch on Wednesday, June 17th.
