DOl Ensure that the product is suitable for its purpose.l Disconnect the power to the machine before fitting

the diamond blade.l Examine all products before mounting and

periodically, for possible defects or damage (core flatness, fatigue cracks, undercutting, arbor damage.)

l Check that correct mounting devices are used and that they are clean, undistorted and free from burrs.

l Always use a correctly designed and adjusted guard (on the blade and belts).

l Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

l Ensure accordance between product direction arrow/ machine rotation.

Norton Diamond Blade - Important Usage Information

Diamond Blades are safe if used correctly.

DO NOTl Use a machine that is not in good working order or one with

defective parts.l Force the abrasive onto the mounting device or modify the size

of the mounting hole.l Exceed the maximum operating speed marked on the product.l Apply shock or excessive force to the product or let it overheat.l Use mounting flanges which are not clean and flat.l Tighten the mounting device excessively.l Start the machine until the guard is in place and fastened

securely.l Grind material for which the product is not designed.l Stop the abrasive by applying pressure to its surface. Let it stop

naturally.l Exceed permissible rotation speeds : refer to values mentioned

on the product.
