STATIC ELECTRICITY

Static electricity is a force that can make your hair stand up. a way you can make static electricity, is by rubbing a balloon in your hair the balloon will pick up all the negative electrons. which means all the positives are left in your hair. So if you hold the balloon just above your hair, the positive electrons will reach up to the negative electrons which makes your hair stick up.

TOP QUESTION

The top question is if electrons are so small how were they discovered ? Well they were found by a friend of Crookes. ( a scientist ) Crookes made a invention called the Cathode Ray Tube. The reason it has the word “Ray” in it is because it shots a stream of electrons (which is the ray)

Negatively charged metal plate

FACTWhen Crookes made the

C.R.T he didn’t know what he was looking at.
