Edit HOSTS file
Before installing the content packs, add entries for each site to
the HOSTS file of the SharePoint server. Heres an example of what
it should look like:

Unrestricted.Establish Trust between SharePoint and Live@edu
There are two steps involved in establishing a trust relationship
between SharePoint and Live@edu:
Step 1: Export the "GTE CyberTrust Global Root" root
certificate
Follow these steps to export the root certificate required by
Live@edu Web Parts.
1.Open Microsoft Management Console (click Start > Run and type
mmc, then press Enter).2.In the console root window, open the File
menu and select the Add/Remove Snap-in option. 3.In the Add or
Remove Snap-ins window, select Certificates in the Available
snap-ins pane, and click Add.4.In the Certificates snap-in window,
select the Computer account option and click Finish. 5.In the
Select Computer window, select the Local Computer option and click
Finish. 6.In the Add or Remove Snap-ins window, click Ok. 7.In the
console root window, expand the Certificates node, expand the
Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder, and click
Certificates in the left menu pane.8.Right-click on the GTE
CyberTrust Global Root certificate (in the center pane) and select
the All Tasks > Export option.9.In the Certificate Export Wizard
window, click Next.10.On the Export File Format page, select the
Base-64 encoded X.509(.CER) option and click Next.11.On the File to
Export page, call the file outlook_live.cer and specify the
location for the certificate. Click Next. 12.On the Completing the
Certificate Export Wizard page, click Finish.13.Click Ok in the
export confirmation dialog box.
Step 2: Create a Trust Relationship in SharePoint using the "GTE
CyberTrust Global Root" root certificate
Follow these steps to create a new trust relationship.
13. Click New. The Establish Trust Relationship dialog box will
display: 14. Enter outlook live in the Name field. 15. Click the
Browse button next to the Root Authority Certificate field, then
select the outlook_live.cer file. 16. Click OK.Set up Windows Live

Install PowerPivot for Excel 2010. This application is not needed
for the installation, but is critical to the functioning of some of
the BI documents. You can download the most recent version at
http://www.powerpivot.com/download.aspx.

47. You must log on as Todd Rowe and Arlene Huff at least once
so that Favorites can be added. Once you have logged on, log off
and log back in as the Administrator.Installation
48. Run the Content Pack installer 49. Click Browse. Find the
Contoso K-12 Intranet Demo.zip file, then click OK. 50. Click Add
to add the content pack. 51. Leave the installer open, then open
Windows Explorer. Navigate to C:Content PacksPacksSharePoint 2010
Contoso K-12 Intranet Demo 1.0.0. 52. For each PowerShell script,
perform the following actions: 53. Right-click the PowerShell
script, and select Properties. The Properties window will display.
54. If you see an Unblock button, click it. 55. After ensuring all

If no MySite host exists on the server, you must create one.To do
so, please perform the following actions:
Define managed paths
59. Select intranet.contoso.edu, then click the Managed Paths
button in the ribbon. The Define Managed Paths page will display

94. The following services or service applications must be
installed and running: 95. Forefront Identity Manager Service 96.

Content Pack Installer for SharePoint must be installed on the
server. 100. There must be at least one SharePoint site on the
server. Create a blank site if one does not exist. 101. A MySite
host must exist on the server.Installation
102. Run the Content Pack installer 103. Click Browse. Find the
People Pack - User Profile & My Site Provisioning 4.0.0.zip
file, then click OK. 104. Click Add to add the content pack. 105.
Leave the installer open, then open Windows Explorer. Navigate to

CodePlex community.

Appendix A: Installing the Windows Live Single Sign On
Service
Installing Windows Live Single Sign On Server
Run the supplied installer. The following window will
display:
Click Next. The following window will display:
Accept the defaults or change the install path, then click Next.
The following window will display:
Click Next to begin the installation. Once successfully installed,
the following window will display:
Click Close to finish the installation.
Click Start > All Programs > Windows Live SSO Service >
SSO Server Configuration. The Single Sign On Service configuration
should open in an XML editor, such as Visual Studio. If you do not
have an XML editor, right-click SSO Server Configuration, and
choose Open With Notepad.
Once you have updated the configuration, save the changes the close
the file.
Now, click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools >
Services
Find the service named Windows Live SSO Server and click Start.
This service should automatically start on subsequent reboots of
your system.
If you receive the following error,It indicates that the
Microsoft.NET 3.5 Net.tcp port sharing service is not enabled on
your machine. Please find it in the services page, double click it
and change its status from Disabled to Automatic.Once you have
changed it, click OK and try starting the SSO service again.
