CONTENTS
Gwadar will be the second planned city of Pakistan, after Islamabad. China Communications Construction Company Limited, which specializes in Infrastructure Development and Planning, is one of the 10 biggest construction companies in the world. It started work on Gwadar Master Plan in 2017. Input from developers and political officials was incorporated.
Initially, 3 proposals were presented and they finally decided to proceed with one. DG GDA has released the master plan officially and its available on GDA’s website.(http://www.gda.gov.pk/masterplan/).

Thanks to Almighty Allah, Central Location of our project has become even more central and important in the new master plan. We have increased the pace of development at Site and pace of works in Gwadar (by Government) has
also picked up. I am positive that the time investors have been waiting for is just around the corner. (Plz see rest of the Newsletter for that)
- CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Gwadar will emerge as the most secure and well planned city of international standards in the next decade if the plan is followed properly. Great Importance has been given to the environmental factors, and the interests of native inhabitants of Gwadar have been secured to avoid implementation bottlenecks.
The pace of work by private developers and Government bodies will improve substantially after the approval of master plan.New By-Laws are expected to be finalized and released in the current month.

The Gwadar Central’s office has been completed on the site. It is adjacent to labor quarters, machinery compound and car park. A walled-area of 20 Kanals has been developed for the this purpose. Blocks Manufacturing, Pavers
Maunfacturing and Pipe Manufacturing etc. will be done outside the enclosed area.
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Road Embankments are being built with mechanised Earth Moving equipment. Right now, the work is being carried out on the 80’ central boulevard and the 40’ back road running parallel to the Sarawan Avenue.
MANUFACTURING ON SITE
Gwadar Central has started the production of basic construction materials like Blocks, Tough Pavers and Kerb stones. The need for the same was felt owing to the poor standards of locally available materials.
The structure of main gate is going to be 50’ high and 120’ wide in total. Gate Building has been built to accommodate the security issues and beautification. Gate Building will also house the network operating centre of
security cameras.
GATE UNDER CONSTRUCTION The grey structure of the gate will be completed by the year end while the finishing will be over in another two months.
IMMEDIATE MILESTONES
• Plantation and Landscaping on Sarawan Ave.• Monument design for the intersection point of
coastal highway and Sarawan Ave.• Street Light Poles on the main roads.• Installation of Pavers on one side of Sarawan
Avenue.• Kerbstones on the side of Sarawan Avenue.• Grey structure of the project Entrance Gate
• Installation of Pavers/Kerbstones on 80’ main road.
• 1-2 ft Road embankment of all the Project roads.

Construction work of Gwadar International Airport has started. It will be built at a cost of US $220 Million and is being funded by China. It will be completed in a period of 3 years. Chinese Government wants to finish this project by the
mid of 2021.
EAST BAY EXPRESSWAY
Work on East Bay Expressway started in November 2017 and it is scheduled to be completed by October 2020 at a cost of US $168 Million. Ministry of Maritime Affairs is working on the project and the progress has been satisfactory.
GWADAR CANTT
A functional cantonement board is instrumental for the ongoing security of the area. This will be the biggest cantonement in the country, just next to the Gwadar International Airport. Access road has been built and construction of some small buildings is underway.
A long standing bitter issue for the residents of Gwadar has been resolved lately. A pipeline has been laid from Sod dam to Gwadar. ShadiKaur Dam will be linked to this pipeline as well. This development will significantly ease the
cost of construction and living in Gwadar.
COASTAL TRADE
Gwadar port is targeting the large untapped market of coastal trade between national seaports, Afghan Transit Trade (ATT), regional transshipments and exports and imports.
“First container line service is launched between Pakistan’s three ports and Gulfs’ ports. The container line service is going to connect Gwadar port with global trading centres in the Gulf. The container line service is an
essential element of CPEC which will link up Afghanistan, the Central Asian states and Western China.”

Pakistan government due to economic and strategic considerations (especially after standoff with India).

• Use ultra light colors or dark colors to give depth to a room.• Hang floor-to-ceiling curtains.• Use a few larger decorative accents instead of many small decorative
items.• Display large-scale art.• Use lamps to spread light evenly around the room instead of relying
completely on one overhead light.• Buy a visually interesting ceiling light fixture.• Place mirrors on dark walls that don’t get much natural light.• Use rugs to define the spaces.• Buy furniture with exposed legs to make the living space feel more open.
Pakistan and China embarked on the new phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor by signing memorandum of understanding (MoUs) on the first Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and socio-economic development and a new
agreement on free trade.
PAK- CHINA MOU’S
“There will be 27 new projects in the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” said Consul General of China Wang Yu. He further stated that agriculture, education, vocational training, industry and increase in water supply etc., are all part of our plans.
RAILWAY MAIN LINE -1
No country can make industrial progress without an effective Railway Network. ML1 Project will link Gwadar with the rest of Pakistan. The Cabinet Committee on CPEC has decided to commence financing discussion over ML-1 Project with China.
