Local Plan Viability Work on Community Infrastructure
Ipswich Borough Council appointed Peter Brett Associates to undertake viability work on the community infrastructure levy following a tender process. The community infrastructure levy work was underpinned by complex viability appraisal work to ascertain the level of levy the Council could potentially charge. Asbestos Survey Tender -‐ Provision of Professional Services
Ipswich Borough Council (IBC) is responsible for a housing stock of approximately 8500 properties and their maintenance. Contracts for the maintenance are ?owned? by Support Services within the Housing department All these properties are located in the Ipswich Borough boundary. This proposed contract for Asbestos Surveying is ?owned? by Maintenance and Contracts and involves carrying out approximately 300 surveys of individual properties per annum against a flexible schedule aimed at completing such surveys for all the properties. Over time.-‐ supporting the Kitchens AND Bathrooms replacement programme ?owned; by the same department .The schedule may also be added to with requirements arsing form the Rewires and Central Heating contracts voids and responsive repairs. In this way the actual number of surveys may at times be significantly above the rate represented by 1000 pa. Sampling on a routine basis as well as for emergency attendance will be required. IBC utilise Keystone Asset Management software as a data base into which abstracts from Asbestos Surveys are entered. There are approximately 7500 completed property surveys abstracted into Keystone in this way to date as well as 600+ abstracted into another proprietary system. Through the tender s IBC will seek to make the process of updating Keystone efficient or enabling access of appropriate information from Keystone possible for external contractors..
