The first student chalet is being built in 2015. Currently Malcolm Lemmon a 30 year- experienced eco-builder and Lawrence Carlisle are working in the construction of this chalet.

Just recently Malcolm and Lawrence have finished the structure of the first student cha-let at Pishwanton. Now the framing and the basic structure for the roof are built. The nest stage will include external larch timber cludding, roof-turf-covering, windows and doors, and insulation. We are looking forward to get more funding required to complete the building. People make Pishwanton

This year thanks to Community Jobs Scotland we have had on board Lawrence Carlisle helping Malcolm Lemmon with construction of the chalets. He has done a fantastic job. Just a month after him Joshua Curran arrived undertaking different sorts of hard work with great enthusiasm. We are very satisfied with their work!

Successful courses: Plant Study and Seminars Beholding the Heart of Nature

In April we did our first seminar Beholding the Heart of Nature focused on plant study led by Margaret Colquhoun and Margaret Shillan. In July with a larger group we undertook the same seminar focusing on landscape study, listening the land and the mood of the place. We had a really good course on Plant Study with Maureen Robertson from Drimlabarra Herb Farm. We will welcome the next Goethean Science semi-nar in October studying the animal kingdom.

Voluntary Opportunities We are privileged to be custodians of this beautiful land. We want to share the experience of caring for it with the wider community. We are so thankful for the enormous work of our volunteer, Ange-line Stieger who stayed with us for six months with her lovely son Jacy. They gave us a lot of light! In July we were visited by a group of 40 volunteers from Texas who helped us to dig a pond, move dung from the barn to the herb garden and remove thistle and ragwort (toxic plan for the animals).

New Corporate and Team Building Opportunities We are just updating the booklets, but due to demand we are scheduling already for next year. Get in touch with us, we can tailor a plan for you. Animals

Our foal Merlyn was born to our Clydesdale horse 13 months ago. He is full of life. We celebrated his first birthday with Roger Burroughes, Chandan and Lillie. Catriona arrived to Pishwanton thanks to two gener-ous donations.
