As Perrigo’s CEO, it is my privilege to introduce our 2016 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report. This report underscores our

commitment to transparency with our shareholders, employees,

and communities where we conduct business and live. It serves as a valuable reminder of the importance of sustainable performance, which we define as the balance of financial performance, investing in people, and caring for the environment.

As a global provider of Quality Affordable Healthcare Products®, we are committed to driving improvement in global sustainable performance. While we take pride in what we have done, I have challenged our global workforce to drive continuous improvement on our sustainable performance results. My hope is that as you review our accomplishments highlighted in our 2016 CSR report, you will see we have a strong foundation on which to build sustainable performance.

Of special note in the West Michigan community where Perrigo was founded over 125 years ago, eight economic development agencies partnered to launch a billboard and social media campaign to demonstrate that “West Michigan has #PerrigoPride.” Thousands of people from local community agencies, businesses and our own facilities drew blue hearts on their hands and

posted images of them with messages of support across social media channels. This spontaneous demonstration of community support was inspirational and motivational at a critical junction in Perrigo’s history. I was not only moved by how the community rallied around us, but also humbled. It is a true testament to the personal impact that our business has beyond the balance sheet. We have responsibilities to many, including our owners (the shareholders), our communities and fellow employees.

Our successes and challenges over the last year have been important reminders of the need to maintain our sustainability and community commitments, especially when doing “business as usual” gets tough. Our ability to drive financial performance, while being mindful of our impact on people and our planet, will sustain Perrigo as a global provider of Quality Affordable Healthcare Products® that we want to invest in, work for, and take pride in as part of the communities where we conduct business.

I am proud of our accomplishments, and excited about the future successes that we will deliver together.

Perrigo recognizes that our global footprint impacts the environmentin a variety of ways and we are committed to promoting environmental stewardship by reducing our energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste and recycling.

We currently report metrics for the data points listed above across 64 of our global facilities. Metrics for new sites added through acquisitions and facility expansions are not included until they have been under Perrigo ownership for a full year. Therefore, our 2015 metrics reflect the addition of facilities gained through the acquisition of Elan Pharmaceuticals and excludes metrics from our Branded Consumer Healthcare (Omega Pharma) facilities.

Greenhouse gases (GHG) are defined as gases that absorb infrared radiation (i.e., carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, etc.), thereby trapping and holding heat in our atmosphere. They are the gases most associated with global warming and climate change. As Perrigo continues to grow and acquire new companies, it becomes increasingly important to control our GHG emissions.

OVERALL COMPANYGHG emissions increased by 10.2% or

19,624 MTCO2-e in Fiscal Year 2015 (FY15);

this increase includes the addition of new facilities to increase our future capacity. Our GHG intensity, or the amount of emissions per sales dollar to accommodate for our growth, continues to trend similarly year over year with a 2.7% increase in pounds of emissions per sales dollar, measured over the same FY15 period.

A variety of energy reduction initiatives across the company have been implemented that will yield long-term benefit regardless of our growth, which increases our confidence for long-term GHG reduction. These projects include, but are not limited to:

• Purchase of electric vehicles for company owned fleet in UK.

• Energy efficient lighting installed (or in process of being installed) in all company plants and warehouses.

• Repainting roof tops white to reduce the cooling cost in summer months.

• Installing air curtains and cooling tower automated controls.

• HVAC and other heating/cooling facility upgrades.

• Air compressor audits and other efficiency measures related to process equipment.

* Data includes all Perrigo owned facilities and leased facilities where direct manufacturing occurs. This information may be restated due to acquisitions, divestitures, or the availability of more accurate information.Note: All environmental data is reported for FY 2015, and will switch to calendar year in 2016.

Emissions ScopeGreenhouse gas emissions are defined as either being direct or indirect emissions. They are then further categorized into three scopes.

Scope 1 includes direct emissions from owned or controlled substances (i.e., burning propane to heat a building). Scope 2 includes indirect emissions caused by purchasing energy, heat or steam. Scope 3 includes all other indirect emissions not fully controlled by the company, such as production of purchased materials (supply chain), employee commuting, etc.

Recognizing that Scope 3 emissions are especially challenging, yet play a big role in our overall impact, we are beginning the process to capture Scope 3 emissions on a limited basis, such as employee business travel and waste processing. While this report only captures Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, we expect to begin including Scope 3 emissions when our inventory is completed.

Traditionally, water usage is higher for pharmaceutical companies, often due to equipment cleaning and validation required to ensure there is no cross-contamination between products.

Water use trends for FY2015 were mixed for Perrigo, in terms of total water withdrawn and intensity by sales. The total water withdrawn increased by 7.8 million gallons, or 2.3%, from Fiscal Year 2014. This is primarily due to company growth and including more sites in the calculation. However, there was a 4.8% decrease in intensity, which is water used per sales dollar. Various water conservation measures were initiated during 2015 to support this reduction, including but not limited to:

• Waste Water Treatment Plant upgrades were kicked off for Perrigo

Vermont that are expected to yield energy saving of 1,340,000 KWH per year and eliminate 724 tons per year of Green House Gas emissions

• Perrigo India (PIN) implemented a process to recycle water at a rate of over 1,500 gallons per day.

• Perrigo Michigan Plant 5 implemented purified water reduction efforts in December 2014 that played a major role in this facility reducing water withdrawn by about 2 million gallons for the year.

In 2015, Perrigo Allegan operations received violations for exceedances of its pH and BOD limit for wastewater discharge, which resulted in $10,500 in total fines. The contributing factors for these exceedances were identified and corrective action plans were implemented.

Packaging engineers are always looking for the most efficient, yet customer friendly, method to design product packaging.

Packaging material, such as corrugate and shippers used in our U.S. facilities, on average, contains more than 50% recycled material. One third of the containerboard packaging supplied to our Michigan facilities is derived from 100% post-consumer recycled content. Additionally, 100% of OTC carton and corrugate fiber content is certified through the Sustainable Forestry Initiative or the Sustainable Forestry Council.

Packaging Sustainability

EARTH AND ARBOR DAY 2015In 2015, Perrigo held an Earth Day

competition amongst all its global sites with the theme, “Enriching those around us.” To enter, a Perrigo employee had to partner with a child on an Earth Day-focused project, such as recycling or beautifying a park. Participants had to submit a summary of what was learned, and the top team from each age group was awarded a gift card. In addition to the corporate contest, many other sites also planned their own activities to celebrate the day.

PERRIGO HOLLAND (PMH)In addition to the corporate Earth Day

2015 event, the Holland, MI Green Team hosted a free e-waste and metal collection service. In just a few short hours, they collected over 2,240 pounds in e-waste from employees, including more than 1,100 pounds in old televisions.

During Arbor Day, the Holland Green Team handed out over 300 native conifer saplings to employees who wanted to plant a tree when they got home. Their green efforts were extended to the summer, when the team took an hour from their normal meeting time to clean up litter around the property and adjoining areas.

PERRIGO MINNESOTA (PMN)In addition to corporate events, the

Perrigo Minnesota Green Team partnered with various organizations to host a drive

to collect old shoes, clothing, eyewear and cell phones. In addition, the Green Team handed out milkweed seed packets to employees, to help protect the dwindling monarch butterfly population, whose larvae depends on the plant.

In 2015, the Minnesota Green Team also introduced Perrigo’s first community garden, completely managed by volunteer Perrigo employees.

PERRIGO SOUTH CAROLINA (PSC)In June 2015, Perrigo South Carolina

(PSC) was one of 47 companies recognized by the Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) with the Compliance Excellency Award for environmental stewardship. This plaque was provided to companies making an effort for a cleaner environment and making every effort to ensure compliance.

PERRIGO INDIA (PIN)Perrigo India (PIN) advanced our efforts

to support the environment by planting and maintaining 243 trees in a 5,993-square-meter “Green Zone,” as well as reusing 40 cubic meter/day of treated waste water for the boilers and cooling towers.

In June 2015, PIN celebrated World Environment Day and its theme of “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.” The event kicked off with inspiring words from PIN leadership on consuming less water, energy and food. Environmental films were on display throughout the day,

such as “Reducing Waste at the Work Place,” and a banner portraying the theme was displayed at the factory gate. In addition, environmental quizzes and talk contests were done, along with tree planting by several Perrigo employees.

CONTROLLING AIR EMISSIONS IN PERRIGO ISRAEL (PIL)

In February 2015, the leaders of Perrigo Israel (PIL) broke ground on a new state of the art Integrated Air Emissions Treatment Center installed in Neot Hovav, Israel, which promises to reduce air emissions significantly in the region. Representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, as well as the Head of the Local Industrial Council, were there with top PIL leadership to cut the ribbon.

CREATIVITY BEFORE [NATURAL] CAPITAL

In order to reduce heat in their warehouse, Perrigo Australia (PAU) avoided adding costly, heavy energy-using air conditioners by painting their roof with a white, solar reflective paint. The polyurethane coating reflects the sunlight and reduces the amount of heat that is absorbed by the roof and transferred into the building. Initial surface temperature data shows a temperature reduction of up to 25.8ºC (46.4ºF)!

Employees and Perrigo Culture

Whether it’s through our safe workplaces or wellness initiatives, the culture of Perrigo has always been to care for employees and encourage them to look out for each other. With more than 13,000 people now employed at Perrigo, and operations in 39 countries, maintaining a supportive culture has become more important than ever. Whether this support is provided through competitive benefits packages, development opportunities, inclusion and appreciation of differences, or being good corporate citizens, Perrigo both wants to be seen as the employer of choice, as well as a place where our employees are proud to work.

As such, Perrigo offers a number of competitive benefits and incentives. In addition to what is included in this report, also see perrigocareers.com for additional information.

FIT FOR LIFEIn 2015, the fit for life wellness program

produced another strong year. In addition to the 5,294 wellness screenings conducted in 2015 on employees and their spouses, the Perrigo Wellness Center (PWC), Perrigo Michigan’s state-of-the-art workout center free to employees, also saw an average use of 438 unique employees every month, and offered 1,049 different group fitness classes throughout the year, which include everything from yoga classes to healthy eating seminars.

In December 2015, Perrigo announced a new program to employees, called HEALTHYyou, which will replace the fit for life program. HEALTHYyou is a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on financial, physical and emotional well-being. In addition, HEALTHyou will be more scalable to Perrigo’s growing global footprint, while offering more resources to assist employees with their wellness journey. Results of year one of HEALTHYyou will be seen in next year’s CSR report.

Employee Wellness around the Perrigo World

CELEBRATING HEALTHY WEEK IN PERRIGO MEXICO (PMX)In August and September 2015, the employees of Perrigo Mexico (PMX) pulled

out all the stops to celebrate Healthy Week. Incorporating a superheroes theme, Healthy Week focused on the review and assessment of employee health and wellbeing. Activities included health screenings, education and activities for both employees and their children, as well as a 1K run for children and 5K race for adults, with over 579 participants!

WELLNESS IN PERRIGO INDIA (PIN)Perrigo India focused on supporting the health

of its employees and community members through activities. A blood donation camp collected life-saving blood from 69 employees. More than 150 employees took advantage of a program that offered eye exams and Hepatitis vaccinations. These activities were in addition to programs focused on diet, nutrition and heart disease. RUNNING EVENTS AND SPONSORSHIPS

Double benefits were offered through Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation sponsorship of, and employee participation in, numerous walks and runs throughout the year, such as the 2015 North Devon Marathon. Perrigo employees are encouraged to participate in these events and receive wellness program credit that can be used toward prizes and healthcare discounts.

12

Occupational Health and SafetyFOCUSING ON PREVENTION AND RESPONSE

2015 was a record year for employee safety, with a Total Recordable Rate (TRR) of 1.43 across all of global Perrigo. This is down 22% over the previous year, and is a new historic low for the company. In particular, Perrigo’s Allegan operations, the company’s largest site, saw its OSHA total recordable rate drop from 2.3 in 2014, to 1.6 in 2015, a 30% year-over-year improvement and significantly lower than the pharmaceutical industry average TRR of 1.9.

Much of the reason for the dramatic

reduction was due to a new and intense emphasis on “near miss” reporting. Near miss cases are when an incident occurs yet no injuries result. This helps the facility identify unsafe behaviors and conditions, and address them before an accident resulting in injury occurs. Strongly supported at the highest level of leadership, the manufacturing operations have also extended this approach to report situations in which unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are present that could potentially result in incidents. The results include better hazard recognition and a stronger safety culture

across the corporation and beyond. Perrigo India once again deserves

recognition for its efforts. For the second year in a row, PIN achieved the Safety Award from the Maharashtra chapter of the National Safety Culture for “Meritorious Performance in Industrial Safety”. This award recognizes PIN’s ongoing focus on safety and maintaining a culture that supports employee well-being.

In 2015, Perrigo received no Health and Safety fines or violations.

Gensuite – Enabling Proactivity and TransparencySince the launch of the Gensuite Environmental Health and Safety system over two years ago, the value of the information being generated

continues to improve. We can now better analyze incidents that occur, allowing us to be even more transparent and proactive. These tools give Perrigo the ability to engage our workforce, from top leadership to the hourly associate, in pursuit of our ultimate goal of zero accidents and injuries. The continued implementation of Gensuite applications will further enhance our ability to reduce our operational impact to the environment and protect our employees. It must also be noted that this success could not have been achieved without the collaboration and support across all of Perrigo’s sites.

People | Employee Health and Wellbeing

As shown in each of Perrigo’s employee opinion surveys, the health, success and engagement of our employees is a top priority for Perrigo. Our people – now more than 13,000* strong – remain one of Perrigo’s formal strategic pillars, and a critical attribute for the company’s success.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIONPerrigo is committed to promoting

diversity in all aspects of our business. This commitment is not only by gender, but by thought, experience and perspective. We believe that delivering on our promises to key stakeholders is best supported when our employee base reflects the diversity of our customer and consumer base.

In 2013, Perrigo was named a 2020 Women on Boards Company, which recognizes companies that have 20% or more of their board seats held by women, and in 2015, the board continues to be comprised of more than 25% women.

In 2015, 44% of Perrigo’s total global population was female, while approximately 39% of employees were employed outside of the U.S.†

Perrigo continues to perform a variety of activities to encourage and promote diversity, including but not limited to:

• Conducting quarterly networking forums in Perrigo Michigan, on such topics as unconscious bias and veteran education and skill equivalencies.

• Providing opportunities for employees to learn various languages, including Spanish and Hebrew.

• Being an active member of the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

• Assembling a formal diversity steering team to review strategy and performance at the corporate level

• Heavy participation in events to promote STEM careers for young women, including mentorship and financial sponsorship

A special celebration was held in Perrigo India for 2015 International Women’s Day, in March. The theme of the celebration this year was “Empowering Women…Empowering Humanity.” Various activities

took place during this day, including training programs for empowering women, such as self-defense techniques, and health and stress management. Female employees dressed in bright purple to symbolize Justice and Dignity - two values strongly associated with women’s equality. Currently, 12% of the workforce in Perrigo India is comprised of women located across various functions. The event was designed to celebrate the hard work of our Perrigo India female employees, appreciate their achievements, and encourage greater gender equality as part of our corporate social responsibility.

In an ongoing effort to uphold our reputation as a desirable place to work for military veterans, several activities and initiatives were conducted during 2015, such as U.S. Veteran’s Day celebrations in Allegan that included a flag raising ceremony conducted by Perrigo employee veterans, an open house sponsored by the Veteran Corporate Steering team, and a video honoring those veterans that work at Perrigo.

Veteran Recognition

In addition to the formal Learning Management System (LMS), Global Performance Management Systems (Success Factors), and many in-person and Web-based training offerings, mentioned in previous reports, Perrigo also employs formal programs to support employee and leadership development. Programs focused on leadership development include:

• Emerging Leaders Training (ELT) – designed to assist employees in making the transition from subject matter expert to leader, from being

responsive to responsible, and in taking initiative in idea generation, innovation, and problem solving

• Supervisor Development Program (SDP) – designed to equip frontline leaders to effectively handle the situations they face every day—setting goals, assigning work, giving praise, and resolving performance problems.

• Leadership in Action (LIA) – designed to arm Managers and above with the tools necessary to increase

their effectiveness while reducing their learning curve, positioning them to support and drive the strategic tenants crucial for long term Perrigo success.

In 2015, over 20% of the participants in LIA and over 7% of participants in ELT received promotions.

TALENT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

Perrigo believes in providing employees with a range of opportunities to enhance current skills and build new capabilities. This focus on talent development strengthens our talent pipeline and business strategy. Perrigo remains committed to promoting from within first, as well as, encouraging cross functional training and job shadowing opportunities. In 2015, approximately 56% of open positions were filled with existing Perrigo employees.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE

During a hostile take-over attempt by another company in 2015, Corporate Governance became front and center as a key topic and a significant reason why shareholders supported Perrigo’s standalone operation.

As documented in our Code of Conduct, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility continue to guide us as our core values. In 2015, Perrigo leadership, guided by the Corporate Compliance and Privacy team, continued to provide a foundation to ensure our core values can and will be followed by all employees globally.

Last year, Perrigo was once again nominated by the Corporate Secretary as the Best Compliance and Ethics Program (Large Cap). In addition, Perrigo’s Code of Conduct was rolled out to the newly-acquired Branded Consumer Healthcare (Omega Pharma) sites, and followed up with extensive in person training and orientation to the Code.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND ETHICS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

Respecting the human rights of our employees is a core value and one that we expect our business partners to share. As articulated in Perrigo’s Supplier Code of Conduct, Perrigo is committed to doing business with ethical companies. This means, ensuring that all products manufactured or services conducted on behalf of Perrigo are done so in a manner that does not violate any law, risk the health or wellbeing of the person involved, or violate, whether direct or indirect, any human rights. This commitment includes, but is not limited to:

• Ensuring safe working conditions for all factories involved with Perrigo production

• Prohibiting the use of any child or forced labor

• Seeking to eliminate discrimination and exploitation of all forms from the supply chain

• Strict adherence to local labor, safety and environmental laws and regulations

• Protecting Perrigo and customer brand reputation

To support this commitment, Perrigo annually conducts over 100 supplier audits. These audits are part of Perrigo’s broader Ethical and Social Compliance program, which focuses on the prequalification, monitoring, correction and enforcement of suppliers and third parties in high risk countries. Perrigo maintains dedicated teams to support this strategy, and work with suppliers to remediate where appropriate.

During the week of November 1-7, the company observed and celebrated Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week globally. With numerous activities from quizzes to contests, the purpose of this initiative was to have a fun way to increase awareness and engagement of our compliance program, as well as the resources available to employees.

Community and Philanthropy

By way of both the Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation, as well as sponsored volunteer efforts by the company and our employees, Perrigo is committed to supporting and enhancing the communities in which we operate. In addition to the money donated by the Foundation, employees exhibited their passion for community service through donations of time and money to a wide variety of causes, notably around education, healthcare, and educating youth on topics such as science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

This report captures only a few of the volunteer and giving initiatives done by the Foundation or our employees throughout 2015.

The final days leading up to the expiration of the take-over attempt by another company generated a heightened level of anxiety for Perrigo employees. In an unprecedented and touching show of support, eight West Michigan organizations came together to develop and sponsor a billboard and social media campaign – dubbed “Perrigo Pride” – to support our employees. The organizations joined together to fund several billboard displays along the three main routes in and out of the Allegan, MI locations, as well as an extensive social media campaign centered on the “heart on hand” image and the hashtag #perrigopride. The campaign generated a projected reach of nearly 305,000 mentions, including more than 1,250 social media posts.

This campaign boosted morale for Perrigo employees at a crucial time and served as a humbling reminder of the impact Perrigo has on its surrounding communities. None felt this more so than CEO John Hendrickson, who was both moved by the sign of support, and even more resolute that business can be a force for good, not just profit.

LEVERAGING CORE TALENTSPerrigo understands the importance of investing in the

education of tomorrow’s leaders, specifically in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). STEM disciplines are a critical area of focus because they have direct implications for workforce development and future economic prosperity. In an effort to encourage children’s interest in STEM disciplines, Perrigo employees routinely volunteer their time at events promoting STEM education.

Efforts included our IT professionals setting up computers for St. John’s Home, female engineers mentoring girls interested in STEM, and participating in events focused on engineering where students have the opportunity to work side-by-side with real scientists to conduct experiments. Through these events, our employees have opportunities to share their talents and help children experience some of the fun aspects of STEM learning.

Perrigo recently partnered with the Grand Rapids Drive (a West Michigan semi-professional basketball team) to raise awareness and funds for D.A. Blodgett - St. John’s (DABSJ), a local non-profit agency devoted to providing comprehensive services to children and families, including adoption, foster care, family support and mentors.

Perrigo, the Grand Rapids Drive and D.A. Blodgett - St. John’s partnered with The Score Restaurant & Sports Bar in Grand Rapids on December 8 in a fundraising event for DABSJ. Following this event, the Grand Rapids Drive and Perrigo raised additional funds during a December Grand Rapids Drive game.

Honoring K-9 PoliceOfficers

Thousands of law enforcement K-9 dogs put their lives on the line every day side-by-side with their human partners. Whether used to neutralize violent criminals, sniff out illegal or explosive materials or search for survivors of natural disasters, they are often the first officer to enter a dangerous situation.

To honor this important partnership, in 2015 Perrigo Animal Health, the manufacturer of PetAmor® brand products, encouraged Americans to show their appreciation by declaring the week of April 20 as “National Thank a Police Dog Week.” People sent thanks to a K-9 officer and their human counterpart by visiting petarmor.com/thankapolicedog.

Perrigo and the Grand Rapids Drive SupportsD.A. Blodgett – St. John’s Once again, Perrigo partnered with the Society for Women’s

Engineers to help sponsor the 2015 Corporate Engineering Challenge, which focuses on inspiring girls and young people to take interest in STEM careers. In addition to sponsorship and mentorship, Perrigo’s booth demonstrated the pharmaceutical manufacturing process in action, by allowing students to make mock “tablets” on portable equipment.
