序言Preface


During the 80s, Taiwan’s economy is migrating quickly towards high technology. This is the era of economic growth. However, in an era of booming globalization, individual companies are unable to cope with the impact of global competition.Therefore, synergy becomes the key success factor in the strong competitiveness of the industry. The Corporate Synergy Development Center (CSD) provides synergy system consulting to domestic industries, including up, mid, and downstream corporations. With this activity, the CSD not only improves cooperation between industries, but also positions Taiwan’s economy for higher growth.

The CSD is positioned as a non-profit organization, tasked with encouraging industrial cooperation and developing synergy systems. Passion, precision, synergy, and excellence are our core values. The CSD has two mission statements ： first, serve as the integration hub for various industries; second, implement government industrial policies. For 20 years, the CSD has focused on

the research and enhancement of

Total Lean Management (TLM), Total

Productive Management (TPM), and

Total Quality Management (TQM) skills.

The CSD is assisting industry in building a

strong network between enterprise systems.

It is creating the operational effects of

mutual trust, aid and reciprocation among

value chain collaborators.

The CSD provides methodologies for upgrading enterprise manufacturing processes, collaboration commerce and value chain management. The CSD’s fostering of vertical and horizontal cooperation is strengthening the network between enterprise and industry.

Providing synergy is the key value of CSD. By building corporate synergy systems, CSD is helping various industries achieve outstanding competitiveness. A few excellent examples:

Transportation : Yulon , Kuozui Motor, Sanyang Industry, Giant Bicycles and Merida.Mechanical/Electronics : Teco, Tatung, Panasonic Taiwan.Others : China Steel (Taiwan), Acer, Makalot,Bao Chen, Wei-Chuan.


Using the Total Local Revitalization (TLR) method, the CSD created 4 key factors: product , service, activity and place, to help revitalize the local economy, create job opportunities and promote commercial district innovation. The CSD is already serving 101 commercial districts.

By using the 4 key elements of the local network management method (organization, designing, marketing and management), the CSD provided a systematic methodology for building cultural innovation, value improvement and networking, thus enhancing local business operational capabilities.

The CSD held the National Commercial District Annual Meeting, organized Commercial District Awards, built an e-learning platform and created the business “learning resume”.

A few of CSD’s success stories: Danshuei, Jinming 1st Street (Taichung City), Sanfeng Central Street (Kaohsiung City), Kenting (Pingtung County) and Magong (Penghu County).

In the past 22 years, 219 corporations obtained a total of 528 awards, while using the methodology of group improvement.

National Quality Award

The NQA is the most prestigious domestic quality honor presented by the Executive Yuan. Enterprises can upgrade their overall quality, strengthen the organization, and improve their competitive position, by applying and competing for the award. The National Quality Award was established 20 years ago. Since then, 1,066 candidates (corporate and individual) have applied, with 106 of them winning.

Agricultural Technology Elite Award

This is the first award in Taiwan that encourages excellent performance in R&D and marketing in the agriculture business. In the first round of competition, 9 businesses were awarded the Agricultural Technology Elite Award.TPM Award (Japan)

Certified by JIPM, Japan, the CSD introduced TPM to nearly 100 domestic corporations, with many renowned corporations winning the award.

The CSD uses the strategy of selective assessment and demonstration projects, combined with collaboration, organization, promotion and consultation. Then, associates these strategies with innovative design to upgrade business style.

Vision, taste, smell, hearing and touch are the 5 key senses of felling. The CSD, combining the use of those senses with product, space, activity and design, implements a new experience style, brings innovation and culture into business development.The CSD provides consultants and services to 800 businesses. Using The Creative Life methodology, it helps create job opportunities and lead industry to better competition.

The CSD leads traditional businesses into the creative life industry, and by upgrading businesses and exploring opportunities, helps move the domestic economy into a new trend.

The CSD was contracted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote an innovate business model, ‘OTOP’ (One Town One Product). Since then, a new life style has been created in Taiwan. The CSD consulting teams utilize local human and various other resources to help innovate and develop the local culture’s products and services. These activities help upgrade traditional businesses, and also form additional value evolution.

Using the 4 dimensions of product, service, place and promotion, the CSD initiates strategic marketing planning to help promote Taiwan cultural products world wide.

14 domestic feature industries and 140 traditional businesses have used CSD consulting services to help upgrade their management capabilities.

The CSD holds and participates in various product fairs, international exhibitions, and cooperates with both domestic and foreign promotional channels, to help widen their vision and create more opportunities.
