About Our Course

Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as to

best serve a particular purpose.

This course consists of 12 modules which will help you

build your knowledge, help you become a first rate

designer and enable you design residential, corporate and

commercial spaces.

There are exercises which will require you to participate in

the design experience, thereby helping you build your

confidence in design.

You will be given a new understanding to help you learn

how to see and what to look for when observing design in

the world around you.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive

your certificate in Interior Design and be set for your

adventure in your professional career.

Course Duration

48 lecture hours spread across 8 weeks

2 days a week – 3 hours each day.

48 lecture hours spread across 12 weeks

Saturdays only – 4 hours each day.

Entry Requirement

No previous experience in the design field is necessary. We

only ask that you have enthusiasm and dedication for this

truly fascinating subject.

Remember, every successful Interior Designer was once

complete beginner.

However, our students must possess a minimum of

Secondary School Leaving Certificate.

What You Will Learn

You will learn to understand the visual language of design.

We all have the potential to speak the language fluently.

Although just as in a language based on words, some who

speak the visual language are more poetic and persuasive

than others.

You will learn the art of creating beautiful and functional

environments. With a proper understanding of design, you

can be inspired to work longer or to sleep later to feel

clear headed, calm and organised.

words, we will begin a journey to make you aware of the

1. INTERIOR DESIGN VISUALIZATION

3D visualization is the best thing to happen to the design

industry in recent years. It gives the designer the ability to

bring a design idea to photographic life.

This course teaches you how to fully utilize 3D visualization

for your interior design practice. You will be taught how to

model your spaces, add relevant furniture and accessories

simulate real-life materials and finishes, natural and

artificial lighting and post-production effects.

2. PREPARING QUOTES WITH EXCEL

Preparing quotations for jobs is a constant for any business

including interior designers. Microsoft Excel is a software

that makes that job very easy by taking the burden of

calculations off you.

This training helps you master the use of formulas to

manage, analyse and monitor the figures that make up

your quotes and project.
