Reminder that during quarantine, lots of kids in LA (mostly Black & Brown) did not have access to the internet to continue their learning & were also in families where parents had lost their jobs. And these families were struggling even before the pandemic.

Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday that the City of Los Angeles would cut up to $150 million from the LAPD and “reinvest” the funds in the local black community. Local law enforcement is our first line of defense. Without it these riots will become the new normal.
