The University and its campus. CUE foundedin 1925 is the largest school of economics in Poland, andthe third biggest university in Krakow, which is the mainPolish academic center. The number of students currentlyenrolled at the University exceeds 23 000. University 17acre campus is located in the vicinity of historicalmedieval Old Town of Krakow, and is easily accessibleboth on foot and by public transportation. In addition tothe main campus in Krakow, the University also hasRemote Teaching Centers in different cities of the region.

Student life and services. A number oforganizations and student associations are active at theUniversity. These include to name a few the StudentGovernment, the Independent Students Association,AIESEC (International Association of Economics andCommerce Students), ESN (Erasmus Student Network),SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), the University Clubof the Academic Sport Association, Dominanta Choirand many more. Cracow University of Economics givespriority to sports at its campus. Students have access to

a large sports gym, swimming-pool, tennis courts anda sports field. The Academic Sports Union (AZS) offersa number of sports sections including popular teamgames – football, volleyball or basketball, or more„exotic” ones – shooting, riding or Capoeira.

International cooperation. The University hasa number of international contacts. Presently, it hasabout 200 partners across the world and cooperateswith universities and various organizations fromEurope, both Americas and Asia. It offers exchangeprograms through Erasmus, CEEPUS, EMBS, DirectEntry, Ministerial and Governmental scholarships orbilateral agreements. CUE offers study programs inEnglish on bachelor, master and PhD level. CUE isa member of many networks and associations such asEUA (European University Association), NIBES(Network of International Business and EconomicSchools), EMBS (European Master of Business Studies),UNECC (University Network of the European Capitalsof Culture), Alexander von Humboldt Association.

Research and teaching infrastructure. TheUniversity’s research and teaching infrastructureincludes: IT Center with Computer labs and Internetaccess, e-learning and Virtual Science Center, MainLibrary, University Publishing House and Printing Center.

Study levels. Cracow University of Economics(CUE) offers programs for all levels of study both inPolish and English: 3-year Bachelor studies, 2-yearMaster studies and 3-year Doctorate studies. Inaddition, CUE offers various study opportunities at thepost diploma level designed for candidates whoalready hold a university degree, but wish to furtherdevelop their professional qualifications.

Internship options. The internship can take placeduring summer months in a company in Poland– mostly in Krakow but offers can also come from othercities like Warsaw, Katowice. The availability ofinternship will depend on the possible match betweenthe student’s skills and expectations and therequirements of the company.

This courseis in response to the growingdemand for specialists in business practices responsible for the technology, market development and quality of the product andits brand image.In terms of learning a large emphasis is placed on issues of product innovation and adapt to the needs andexpectations of the consumer, and thus have the basic determinants of competition. of both undergraduate and graduate level can come to study at CUE for one or two semesters.Business Studies is an optionin the English Track Programme to study business in the English language. The course selection cuts through a number ofdisciplines: business,economics, finance, marketing, management, law, social and political relations, with a focus on therealities of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Courses are given by leading CUE professors, lecturers from partneruniversities worldwide as well as professionals and successful practitioners.Additionally, students can choose courses fromother English Track paths. The use of ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits facilitates recognition of courses takenin the English Track programme by students at their home universities.
