Support all Catholic Education: “Great Beginnings last a lifetime.”

Wedding at Cana Jesus and Mary were at a wedding In Cana of Galilee The celebratory wine had gone And so Mary did make a plea She said to the Lord Jesus Christ: “Please see, oh son of mine, I think that something should be done, For these guests have no more wine” Jesus was not ready yet Then this is what he said: “Fill some pots with water; That they have liquid with their bread” The servants did as Jesus asked And filled 6 pots with haste 120 gallons or so “Let the organizer have first taste” The wedding organizer marveled At the quality of the wine Poor quality was usually served this late But instead, this tasted fine Jesus’s followers were also there Amazed in Holy Trinity The servants also came to believe In Jesus Christ’s divinity This one great story of Jesus Christ: How he changed water into wine Is one great story of many to come But ‘twas a miracle still most divine -Sebastien Dubois

To Each Individual the Manifestation of the Spirit is Given for Some Benefit

Last weekend, as we celebrated the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordon River, we also had an opportunity to reflect on our own Baptism. Through Baptism we are

washed clean of Original Sin and enter into the life of grace through the gift of the Holy Spirit. And it doesn’t end there! In Confirmation, we receive the fullness of God’s spirit and are sent forth into the world as instruments of his life and love. Yet, while we are united in the Spirit of God as his children, we are not robots who all speak the same words or who do identical deeds in God’s name. Instead, as Saint Paul reminds us in today’s second reading, each one of us shared uniquely in the gifts of the Spirit so that we might fulfill God’s unique will for us. The journey of our life of faith must then include discerning the gifts that God has given us and how he wants us to use them. This is an important part of the On Mission for the Church Alive! initiative. If each one of us has been endowed with spiritual gifts, in what ways can we use them to enliven the Church? Spend a few moments in prayer this week and ask the Lord to help you know the gifts the Spirit has bestowed upon you are being called to share them. For more information visit, onmissionchurchalive.org.

Are you striving to be a saint? Are you looking for ways to grow in holiness right where you are in life? Don’t miss An Evening with Father Jacques Philippe on Monday, Feb. 25th at 7:00PM at Sts. John and Paul Church, Franklin Park,

Sewickley. Father Philippe, an international speaker and writer, will address the Universal Call to Holiness. Father Philippe’s books have sold more than one million copies and have been translated into 24 languages. The night will include Evening Prayer, Father Philippe’s talk and Q&A. No cost. Please visit pghpriest.com for a courtesy registration. Any questions, please email Theresa at [email protected]. Hope you will be able to attend this exciting evening!
