In-Situ Machining Solutions (UK) Ltd offer a crankshaft repair
serviceconsisting of highly trained and motivated teams of
supervisors andcraftsmen in the refurbishment of crankshaft,
crankpin and main journalbearings on land sites and on board sea
going vessels and off-shoreanywhere in the world. The company
has a full range of orbital turning, grinding, honing
andsuperfinishing machines to cover all forms and sizes of crankpin
(bigend/large end) and main journal bearings of any four and two
stoke dieselengines.
In-place Crankshaft Grinding, Machining andPolishing by highly
trained engineers from In-SituMachining Crankshaft failures
occur for many reasons, poor maintenance, detachmentof balance
weights, crankcase explosions, lubrication starvation
etc. Very often crankshafts are very badly damaged seemingly
beyond repair, In-Situ machining have the ability to machine
crankpin and main bearing to20mm undersize and more removing
localised induced hardening (up toHB650) and peen straightening
bent shafting. Our personnel are used to the rigours of
travelling and performing in allcorners of the globe in varying
climatic and adverse working conditions. The teams have the
most advanced design machine tools and measuringequipment in
pursuit of excellence in this very exacting and precise on site
crankshaft refurbishment activity. Our company works
closely with OEM’s and end user engineers andmanagers to ensure
that all in-situ machining projects are managed welland that all

recognised method of Peene straightening
