Create Educational Games Overview Through the medium of Inventive Games, each school will develop a game (using 4 commonly found objects that are accessible worldwide) to create a game that teaches a concept that you are working on in your class. This can be a game for math, Language Arts, Science... etc! You choose! Teams from around the globe will submit their learning games to be shared with teachers and students worldwide Big Idea Creativity is a key foundation for future success. In an increasingly complex and fast-paced world, The Essential Question How can we harness the abundant creativity in our youth to help teach and learn concepts in the classroom? Guiding Questions 1. Brainstorm a list of popular games to help you get started. 2. Research how games have and continue to help people learn. 3. Collect data about educational games that will help you create a great game. Guiding Activities 1. Discuss with your students, and other teachers, what areas in the curriculum are needing an extra boost of excitement. 2. Discuss what types of objects would be found in every part of the world. (i.e. cup, pebble...) 3. Explore what kinds of educational games are being played around the world.
