nearby. The building has 24-hour security and all the classrooms are bright and spacious, with beautiful views of the

surrounding area.

The school is a short walk from the bus and tube station with direct links to central London. If you would like to explore the

sights of southern England, we will arrange a social programme filled with exciting trips to famous places such as Cambridge,

Oxford, Windsor and London. For business executives, we can additionally arrange industrial tours and high-level networking

events.

Crest Schools of English is the only UK-based school to have its own authorised Cambridge English, IELTS and Trinity College

examinations centre: London Crest Open Centre. London Crest Open Centre is a SELT centre, offering a range of exams that

are recognised by the UK Border Agency for UK visa applications.

CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH

Cambridge English is one of the most prestigious examination boards. Exams focus on the four main language skills – reading,

writing, listening and speaking. Thousands of universities, companies and government agencies around the world recognise

Cambridge English Certificates as proof of your level of English. There are 5 levels of exams ranging from CEFR A2

(pre-intermediate) level to CEFR C2 (proficiency).

IELTS

IELTS is the world's most popular English language test for higher education and global migration and is especially popular in

North America, Australia and New Zealand. You can choose from two IELTS tests: Academic and General - We prepare

students for both types of exam. IELTS uses a scoring system from 0 to 9. Candidates wishing to study at a UK university, or

who require the test to apply for work in the NHS, usually need a score of between 6.5 and 7.5.

TRINITY COLLEGE GESE

The Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) is an excellent examination to choose if you need to show evidence of

your speaking and listening skills. The GESE is different to Cambridge English and IELTS exams because there is no reading or

writing paper. There are 12 grades of the exam ranging from CEFR A1 to CEFR C2.

A proficient command of English has become an invaluable tool for international trade, across all industries. This programme

will enable you to communicate effectively in English in a business context and leads to the prestigious Business English

Certificate (BEC).

FINANCIAL ENGLISH The International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) assesses language skills in the context of finance and accounting. Because the

course is based on realistic texts, topics and tasks, successful candidates find that they are better able to function in practical work

situations, such as meetings and discussions of a financial nature where they have to express opinions clearly.

ENGLISH FOR NURSES

The NHS is actively recruiting qualified overseas medics. Whether you are currently working with English-speaking clients at

home or you are considering a career in the UK, a good command of medical English is a must. Our English for Nurses

programme equips you with the knowledge you need to succeed in an English-speaking environment.

Our programme concludes with an optional full-day workshop conducted by a qualified overseas nurse who has had personal

experience of adjusting to a British medical environment. This is a not-to-miss opportunity to ask questions and discover the

nuances of British medical culture from someone who has experienced the transition first-hand.
