My purpose this year in math is to learn more about math and to feel better about math.

My purpose this year is to pass the (OAT)test and not be in this kind of class again.

My major purpose this year is so that I could do so much better in school because last year was not the best.

My purpose is to pass the OAT because I don’t like failing and its not OK to fail.

Students have a low self esteem.Students are not doing their homework.Students are absent from school frequently.Students do not manage their time well.Students are not organized.Parents are not available at home because

they are working.

If we have the opportunity to get our homework done during Math Advantage time, then our grades will improve because Mrs. Richardson will be there to help us.

Two tables will be homework tables. Students from similar team s will work together. Mrs. Richardson will look at the teacher directories to find the assignments and will post them in class. Students will need to bring their math work to class. Students who choose not to work at homework tables will work on their Math Advantage assignments on the laptops….

After one month, report card data concluded that 96% of the 7th grade Math Advantage students still had grades of C or below. One student received a B.

Quality Tool: PDSAActStandardize, Eliminate or Modify the Plan

Students decided that the length of the Action Plan (one month) was not a sufficient amount of time to improve their grades. The students decided to standardize the plan for the entire third grading period.

New Goal: 67% of the students in 3rd Period Math Advantage would have grades of C or above on their 3rd Quarter Report Card. ( 8 students out of 12)
