Criminal profiling of a rapist and perception of criminal profiling are the myriad of theories. Psychopathy is a personality disorder that afflicts a small fraction of the general public. Psychopaths are impulsive and self-centered with little capacity of guilt, fear or remorse. They take great pleasure in manipulating and exploiting others to get what they want and tend to live disorganized, nomadic lives on scciety’s fringes.

These characteristics are not generally applicable to every rapists, but can be very helpful in learning about their behavior and the heinous crime of rape.
