inlingua Boston provides multiple lounges with TVs, large tables, and seats to accommodate students during break times. The kitchen's area includes microwaves, refrigerators, and vending machines, dishes, cutlery, and Free Wi-Fi access throughout the school. We equipped our classrooms with the latest technology. inlingua location is closed to amenities, cafes, restaurants, stores, and shopping centers.

Social Events and Activities inlingua Boston offers a fun and local package activity calendar for students to participate in 5 days a week, including weekend trips with ESL. These activities provide an excellent opportunity for a student to get to know the City of Boston and build memorable friendships with other students. Experiences advance range from the ocean and outdoor activities, food hotspots for locals, and conversation clubs to practice a language with native speakers outside the classroom. You are encouraged to provide your input for activities of interest. No matter which level you enrolled in, you will have the opportunity to try it out. Be aware that the sign-up sheets will be posted at the Front Desk by the Activity Coordinator. For an activity to proceed, a minimum of five students is required. Otherwise, inlingua will cancel the training.

Student and Academic Policies General Conditions: inlingua Language School of Boston reserves the right to change start dates, programs, course curriculum; the fees, dates, and conditions listed in our brochure are subject to change at any time without prior notice. inlingua Boston and its staff accept no responsibility for any students' property loss, damage, injury, or death, including a program participant occurring on or off the school site. As a student, you must comply with the policies and procedures of the school staff. Failure to abide by the rules of the school staff may result in dismissal. If the applicant is under 18 years old, the applicant needs a co-signed by the parent or legal guardian. To be considered for a refund and disputes, students must submit written notice to the Director of Study. Privacy Policy: Under the Personal Information Protection Act, students have the right to access their student files. The personal information collected will only be used for a specific purpose unless the student consents to otherwise.

Admissions Policy: inlingua Boston is committed to providing accurate information and guidance to prospective students to ensure they make informed decisions about their program of study. inlingua Boston's admissions criteria are well-publicized and applied consistently. Entry assessment tools and admission requirements ensure competencies (see Language Proficiency Assessment Policy) and the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve program outcomes. inlingua Admission policy ensures that qualified applicants have equal access to programs or courses regardless of race, color, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family economic status, mental or physical disability, sex, age, or sexual orientation (BC Human Rights Code). inlingua will provide the following policies to students before entering into any contract agreement, including a Letter of Acceptance or student enrollment contract.

Photo-Video-Testimonial Release Policy: This Policy grants inlingua Boston permission to use student's written material (photo- testimonials) as content for the website, social media platform, and other promotional materials. It outlines that students' images may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein students reproduction appearance. By registering at inlingua Boston, you understand that photographic or video recordings of you may be electronically displayed via the internet or in the public educational setting. As a student, you release all claims against any staff or organization utilizing these promotional materials. There is unlimited validity of time and geographic areas where these materials may be removed and distributed. If the student is under 18 years old, then an agreement must be signed by and between the students' parent or legal guardian and inlingua Boston.

School Activities Release of Liability and Consent This policy outlines that students enrolled in the inlingua activities program consent to participate in after-school activities and weekends events. Students are aware that there might be unique risks of bodily injury inherent in various activities. By signing the enrolment form, students agree to indemnify release and save the school and staff for any loss, damage, bodily injury, or claims arising from an unprecedented accident or sickness while participating in these programs. Students also further acknowledge that they shall follow all instructions by the teaching staff and trainers accompanying the programs. If the student is under 18 years old, then an agreement must be signed by and between the students' parent or legal guardian and inlingua Boston.

Language Proficiency Policy inlingua Boston teaches English, therefore, accepts students into its ESL Program with any Level of English from Beginner to Advanced. However, there is no language proficiency requirement to enroll in this program. Students whose first language is not English must undergo a Language Proficiency Assessment before enrolling in the programs listed below to ensure they have the language abilities necessary to complete the program successfully. inlingua will not waive these requirements for the student. Language Proficiency is one of the admission enrollment requirements.

IELTS Preparation Course

• Intermediate level- students are required to have a minimum of 4.0 in IELTS or equivalent.

• Advanced level – students are required to have a minimum of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent.

English for Academic Purposes

• EAP1 – Students' completion of inlingua Boston General English level 4 or an overall IELTS score of 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in writing.

• EAP2- Completing EAP1 or an overall IELTS score of 5.5 with a minimum of 5.0 in writing.

English Only Policy inlingua's English Only Policy for English Language program will create an immersive English environment. It will help students to practice their language skills and create a positive learning environment that encourages social interaction between different language groups of speakers. It covers all areas within the school environment, including computer usage and inlingua extracurricular activities. If you speak any language other than English, inlingua will consider the following consequences:

• 1st and 2nd offense – Warning

• 3rd and 4th offense – Suspension for 24 hours

• 5th offense – Expulsion from inlingua

There are Exceptions:

• During the first day of classes, new students are given a warning by teachers and staff. In a serious matter that required the students to use their native language, inlingua provides them with individual language assistance in a private office.

Attendance Policy: Teachers will record all student attendance for every class. Students must attend eighty percent (80%) of their classes. If a student is absent due to illness, they must provide a doctor's note to make it an excused absence. If a student is absent due to planned time off (travel), they must inform the school administrative staff. The student's services Coordinator has a form that the student needs to fill out and hand in. This form would allow the students' time off to be added to their final date, therefore, extending their stay at inlingua.

If a student is absent without due reason, they will receive a written warning if their attendance is below 80%. They also will receive a notice from the Student Services Coordinator. Students will receive two marks for presence, one impact for late, and 0 effects for absence.

Student Late Policy Students must arrive on time for each class. There is no late grace period. The bell is rung once at the beginning and the end of each class. Students are permitted to enter the course at any time but will lose marks for coming late. Excused absences do not negatively affect the student's attendance.

At inlingua Boston, students are allowed to take a break during their program for vacations. You shall inform inlingua at the time of registration or 30 days after starting the program. inlingua Boston will add your pre-scheduled suspension to your end date.

If students decide to take a break after starting their program but do not inform inlingua within a minimum 30-day notice, your break time will not extend your end date. If students are absent for an extended period, credit for missed classes will be given when you were sick and provide supporting medical documentation. If Students know in advance of an upcoming extended absence, please inform

the school program coordinator as soon as possible. Classes missed for any other reason will not be added to your program.

Student Dismissal and Code of Conduct Policy inlingua Boston expects all the students to adhere to the Code of Conduct set out in this policy while

completing a program of study at inlingua Boston. If necessary, students should request clarification

from the Director of Study. "Student" refers to a person presently enrolled at the inlingua Boston

program, including students participating in work experience placements

Student Code of Conduct Policy While on inlingua Boston premises or in a course at inlingua students must:

• comply with all applicable inlingua Boston policies;

• treat all students and staff with respect and must not engage in physically aggressive,

threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive behavior;

• speak English while in the school facility;

• be on time for a course and attend, at a minimum, 80 % of the class,

• complete assigned course work;

• respect and abide by the rules of the host family;

• not steal, misuse, destroy, or deface inlingua Boston property;

• not consume, possess, distribute alcohol, controlled or restricted substances;

• not contravene any provision of the United States of America Criminal Code or other federal

or state statute or regulation.

The above list sets out examples of prohibited conduct. This policy will help students understand the

type of conduct subject to discipline and are not exhaustive. Students who violate the Code of Conduct

will be subject to the procedures and penalties outlined below, including immediate dismissal from the

inlingua Institution.

Dispute Resolution and Grade Appeal Policy inlingua Boston provides an opportunity for students to resolve disputes of a severe nature and grades

appeals in a fair, reasonable, and equitable manner.

This policy applies to all inlingua students who are currently enrolled in the inlingua program or were

enrolled six months before submitting their concerns. Please submit any Dispute and Grade Appeal to

the Director of Study.

Procedure for Student Disputes

• when a concern arises, the student should first attempt to address it

with the individual most directly involved. If student fees are unsatisfied

about resolving the dispute at this level, then address your concern in

writing to the Director of Study.

• The Director of Study shall arrange a meeting with the student and the

individual involved to discuss the concern and desired resolution.

inlingua will resolve your situation within five business school days after

receiving the student's written matter.

• Following the meeting with the student, the Director of Study shall

conduct necessary investigations or inquiries to appropriately determine

whether the student's concerns are substantiated in whole or in part.

Those inquiries or investigations may involve further discussion(s) with

the student individually or with appropriate inlingua personnel. All the

communication must be in writing.

• inlingua will complete the necessary investigations. The Director of

Studies will write to all individuals involved no later than ten business

school days following the student's reported concerns. If the student's

problems are not substantiated, inlingua shall provide a written

explanation of the decision and deny the complaint. If the student's

concerns are confirmed in whole or in part, inlingua shall propose a

resolution. A copy of the decision, including all the supporting materials,

shall be given to the student. The Director of Studies shall place a copy

in the inlingua's Student Conduct File and the student file.

• Suppose the student is not satisfied with the determination of the

outcome of the investigations. In that case, the student must

immediately advise the Director of Study within five business school days

of being informed about the resolution. The Director of Study shall

directly refer the matter to the Owner or Director of Operations of

inlingua Boston.

• The Owner or Director of Operations shall review the complaint. If

deemed necessary, the Director of Studies should schedule a meeting

with the student within five business school days of receiving the

student's appeal.

• The original decision shall either be confirmed or varied by the Owner or

Director of Operations in writing within five business school days after

receiving the student's appeal. At this point, inlingua's dispute resolution

process shall be considered exhausted. Once the dispute resolution

process is completed, and if the student feels that inlingua Boston

misled them regarding any aspect of its operation, they may file a

complaint with

Procedure for Grade Appeal Policy 1. If a student is dissatisfied with a grade received and can provide evidence that higher quality is

warranted, they should discuss it with their teacher. The teacher shall reconsider the rise and, if

warranted, assign a different status.

2. If the student is not satisfied with the resolution of the appeal to the teacher, they shall submit

a written request to the Director of Study.

3. The Director of Study shall obtain a copy of the assignment and test in question from the teacher

and reassess another teacher.

4. If the student achieves a higher grade on reassessment, it should reflect in the student

achievement card. Otherwise, the student will keep the original status. The status shall be

considered final.

5. The student will receive the final notice of the decision within thirty business school days after

receiving the written appeal.

Program Change Policy If a student wishes to change programs, a meeting with the Director of Study is required to discuss the

change. If the tuition for the new program is more expensive, then the student will be required to pay

the difference. Otherwise, the student will receive a refund based on inlingua's refund policy.

Refund Policy To receive a refund of any portion of tuition fees, a student must give inlingua Boston a written notice

that they intend to withdraw from the program they have enrolled in at the beginning. There are no

refunds for students changing programs. inlingua Boston will process your refunds within 30 days of

receiving a written request for a refund.

Any enrollment termination due to violation of inlingua's written inlingua Boston will issue attendance

policies, state or federal laws disciplinary, attendance policies, state, or federal laws a refund based

on the refund policy stated below. Students who have applied through an agent must contact the agent

for a refund.

Suppose a student cannot obtain lawful entry to the United States of America to study at inlingua

Boston. In that case, a student shall be refunded all prepaid fees except the non-refundable

registration fee, homestay placement fee, and all bank transfer charges. A student must provide a

letter from the United States Embassy stating that their Visa to enter the United States of America

when denied.

Once a student cancels or withdrawals from inlingua Boston in writing, they shall refund the unused

tuition fee based on the table below. For the accommodation portion, inlingua Boston requires two

weeks' written notice for any changes, cancellations, or postponements. Otherwise, a two-week

accommodation fee will be applicable, and the homestay placement fees are not refundable.

Student Withdrawal Policy If a student wishes to withdraw from studies at inlingua Boston, they must provide written notice and date by completing a Student Withdrawal Form.

Refunds are calculated based on inlingua Boston's refund policy. inlingua will use the date of the withdrawal to determine any refund owing.

Suppose an international student cannot get a study permit visa; students are entitled to a refund under Massachusetts By law when providing a copy of the denial letter to inlingua Boston before the program start date.

Procedure The student at the Front Desk must complete a Student Withdrawal Form. The completed form is given to the Admissions Coordinator to determine if a refund is to be issued. The Director of Study must sign it, and within two weeks of the submission of the Student Withdrawal-From, inlingua Boston will notify the student. If applicable, a student will receive a refund.

inlingua Boston will follow up on the reason for withdrawal from the program, whether it is a school's performance or other reasons.

Safety Policy: inlingua Boston is committed to providing a safe environment for students, teachers, and staff. The management team makes every effort to ensure all machinery and equipment are adequately maintained and any required safety devices are in working order. A student should report any concerns or issues to the Director of Studies and Operations Manager.

Medical Insurance Policy: All students must be eligible for entry into the United States of America. They must hold a valid and current passport and obtain medical insurance before departure from their home country. Students who cannot show good medical insurance will be required to purchase medical insurance provided by inlingua Boston before attending their first class at $5.00 a day.

Academic Integrity Policy and Procedure on Plagiarism: Plagiarism is a severe academic offense. It usually occurs when an individual submits or presents ideas or words from another source and acts as if the thoughts or comments are their own. Plagiarism could result in suspension or expulsion from inlingua Boston or the university or College.

It is acceptable to have another person checking your schoolwork before submitting it. However, that person should not rewrite your essay. Your teachers are committed to helping you develop your writing skills.

Be aware that any students caught plagiarizing for the first time will be given a detailed description of plagiarism and how to avoid it in the future.

If students plagiarize twice, they shall receive a zero percent (0%) on their assignment. If the incidents happen for the third time, inlingua Boston will ask you to leave the Institution with a refund based on inlingua's refund policy. The students also could be taken out of the EAP Program and placed into an IELTS Preparation class

inlingua Language School of Boston provides the best English language instruction and training to all learners who wish to achieve a high level of success. inlingua expects all students to follow its English Only Policy, be prepared, attend classes regularly, and arrive at class on time.

inlingua Language School of Boston offers different levels of the program. These include beginner to advanced stories, pre, and post-program assessment tools, and completion certificates for all students. inlingua also provides a wide range of exciting and memorable after-school programs, including weekend activities.

This handbook outlines a few things that students should know about before entering the United States of America.

Public transportation is exceptionally effective, accessible, and convenient. Taxis, Pedicabs, and bike rentals are readily available to everyone who wishes to use them.
