It can be used from ground level and up to a height of 43m (141ft). The crane can be designed for single deep, double deep, triple deep or multi deep stacking. It can handle one, two or more loads at the same time with a weight up to 3 tons. The crane is used to stack pallets, paper, reels, car bodies, fixtures etc. APPLICATION The stacker crane emergency brake systems consist of either a Dellner SKP 65 or 95 spring applied, hydraulically released, caliper brake type that is acting directly on the stacker crane travel railhead. The hydraulic brake release pressure is generated from a Dellner hydraulic power pack (HPP) which, together with the brake, is incorporated on a bracket designed to fit the crane structure. Employing an emergency brake system instead of relying on hydraulic buffers has a number of advantages: Cranes can be stopped anywhere in the aisle if speed exceeds a set limit or during an emergency situation, so they can work at a higher speed to increase efficiency on the site Retardation and mechanical forces acting on the cranes can be up to three times less, which can extend the life of a crane or allow a lighter crane to be used Available space is used more efficiently because there is no need for extra racking or other strengthening mechanisms to handle buffer shock after an emergency stop Running and maintenance costs can be reduced
