Course Description

CS370 introduces students to basic concepts and methods of artificial intelligence from a computer science perspective, including knowledge representation methods and techniques, Problem solving, structures and strategies for state space search and Heuristic search techniques.

Course Objectives

Learn about the widely applied techniques of logical representation languages and search techniques for problem solving.

Familiarity with different applications of AI such as Robotics, Pattern Recognition, expert systems.

Understand the principles and mechanisms underlying various kinds of intelligent processes

Have an awareness of the philosophical issues that arise within Artificial Intelligence

Have an awareness of key issues in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science that will continue to challenge researchers in the future.

Attendance Policies

Students that regularly come to class 10 minutes late will be marked absent.

Students that are regularly absent will be given DN warnings. (See DN Warning Flyer).

Course website should be checked frequently. Students should read from the textbook. Late assignments will not be accepted. All assignments must be completed individually by each

student There will be no Make up exam or quiz Cheating
