Minuma Cleanup ActivitiesWe conduct monthly cleaning activities (Minuma Cleanup Activities) with the goal of protecting the environment of the Minuma rice fields around the head office.In addition to picking up trash, we also remove illegally dumped waste, and the details of the activities are posted on our website.In addition, we have been conducting large-scale cleanup activities at the Minuma rice fields for more than 15 years every year in June, Environment Month, and May 30th (Zero Waste Day).At the start of the activities, only employees were involved, but it is now a large-scale cleaning activity with 200 volunteers, including local residents, companies that have endorsed our efforts, and staff from the police station.

Cleaning of Workplace and SurroundingsShomon Co., Ltd. conducts cleaning activities around the facility every morning, as well as within the office and factory.We are implementing the “3S Campaign” promoted by Saitama Prefecture and the Saitama Environmental Industry Promotion Association, and are carrying out efforts to develop human resources who will play an important role in the recycling-oriented society.In 2016, in recognition of our cleaning activities and human resource development, we received the Encouragement Award in two categories, the Seiketsu Award and the Style Award from the 3S Campaign.

Removal of Illegal Dumping and Disaster WasteIn cooperation with Saitama Prefecture and the Saitama Environmental Industry Promotion Association, we are conducting free removal of waste illegally dumped in rivers and vacant land and waste generated by natural disasters.We also provide support for victims of earthquakes.

Nature ConservationWe donate regularly to the Saitama Greenery Trust Association to promote the preservation of the rich natural and historical environment that Saitama Prefecture, "Sai-no-Kuni," is proud of.
