in an airline focused training environment

where you will be coached to achieve the

high standards expected within an airline.

technical training Your training will take place in New Zealand

at our Crew Training Centre – Hamilton, on the

North Island. New Zealand is an awesome

place to learn to fly and, as a country, offers

some amazing cultures to discover during

your time there.

Our integrated approach to gaining a CPL

MEIR incorporates theoretical and practical

training as well as testing - all in one

continuous course. Integrated programmes,

compared to the modular route, are generally

considered to be the preferred training

approach by potential employers.

The course consists of theory training in all

relevant aviation subjects integrated with

the practical flying delivery. The theory and

flying programme is scheduled in a structured

way to ensure continuity of training and

progressive steps designed to quickly

improve the pilot skills being developed.

• Course length 65 weeks

• Single-engine flying 182.6 hours

• Multi-engine flying 20.0 hours

• Simulator flying 28.7 hours

• Ground Theory Training and briefings 600

hours

These flying hours meet all CAA NZ

requirements for the issue of a CPL and MEIR.

They will also meet the requirements for a

CPL and MEIR as set by the Indian DGCA.

Non technical Skills trainingLearning to be an airline pilot is not just

about technical knowledge and ability. The

multi-crew environment you will ultimately

be flying in requires effective non-technical

skills as well as technical aptitude. We work

together to enhance your interpersonal and

communication skills, professional attitude

and self awareness in order to develop a

safety first attitude and culture.

the FleetAfter you have completed the basics on one

of our single-engine aircraft, you will progress

onto our industry-leading twin, the DA42,

which - with its Garmin 1000 flight deck

and fully computerised engine management

system (FADEC) - efficiently prepares you for

the type of new generation Boeing or Airbus

you are likely to fly in the future.

Intermediate and Advanced trainingSubject to placement opportunities in

the future in India, you may then wish

to progress further through CTC’s world-

renowned Airline Qualification Course (AQC)

which incorporates the Multi Crew Co-

operation course (MCC). Having completed

the AQC course you can move forward with

confidence into your type rating with an

airline. CTC will endeavour to facilitate this

on your behalf.
