INNOVATION LAB ASIA REPORTS NOW ONLINE Last month, Innovation Lab Asia was actively involved in TechBBQ, the largest annual startup andtech event in Scandinavia, held this year at Øksnehallen, ensuring a stronger focus on Asia. Oneof our main activities was the launch of our six ecosystem reports on Asia, giving insight and arealistic understanding of the local startup scenes, based on first-hand experience and on-sitedialogues in each country. The reports cover nine cities in China Bay Area, Taiwan, Korea, Japan,Singapore and India. The seventh report sheds light on Estonia, and its amazing ability to connectwith the Japanese innovation ecosystem, in particular with Japanese investors. How did they do it?And what can we learn from this in Denmark? Click on each image below to find the correspondingreport, or find them HERE. Printed versions are also available. The project is supported by theDanish Industry Foundation.

5 DAYS, 2 INDIAN CITIES, 8 DANISH COMPANIES 50+ customized one-on-one meetings, and 10+ expert consultations Five months, ten days and counting. That’s how long it’s been since NORDIN started working withour first cohort companies.

Over the course of the first five months of the eight-month program, the NORDIN team worked witheach of the companies identifying a customized market entry strategy, aligning expectations tomarket opportunity and connecting to clients, partners and industry experts. The companies hada chance to co-create their India strategy and work with choosing clients and partners to connectwith to ensure tangible business outcomes when they travel to India.

Eight out of the 11 companies participated in the ‘India Immersion Week’ from 22-27 September inBangalore and Mumbai, India. Over the course of five days, each of the companies had astrategically-designed programme meeting clients, industry experts, and partners to continuetheir online dialogue face to face. This crucial interaction enabled the companies to be able totranslate product interest to paid pilots, clients orders and partnership agreements by the end ofthe week. We are now happy to report that all eight companies have achieved their individualgoals set out for India. With two more months to go, we now are set out to work with thecompanies to close out orders, enable partnership finalization, and setting up offices in India.

From the start, we at NORDIN were focused on ensuring business goals for thecompanies. However, we realized that to ensure operational success, opening up mindsets isequally important. The week in India ensured that the companies connect with fellow SMEs whohave cracked the market, learn new business models and even explore the Indian consumermindset.

With two months to go to the end of our cohort, we are looking forward to strong successes within
