The mist of Cumberland Falls creates the magic of the moonbow, only visible on a clear night during a full moon. This unique phenomenon appears nowhere else in the Western Hemisphere!

The best opportunities to view the moonbow over Cumberland Falls are during clear evenings with a full moon (dates in the chart below). The moonbow may also appear on the two evenings before a full moon and the two evenings after a full moon. In addition, any day of the year around noontime, when the sky is clear, enjoy the rainbows that occur in the base of the waterfall. No fee & no reservation required!
