COMPUTER COMPETITION GUIDELINES

CURFEW GUIDELINES

Student Curfew - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11:00 PM; Saturday 1:30 AM. Each Chapter’s chaperon(s) must be registered with the BDPA National Conference. BDPA members will monitor the hotel floors for problems and/or students out after curfew.

While in hotel, students must be accompanied by a chaperon. This is in accordance with hotel contract. Students, badges must be worn at all times.

Penalties - Any student that violates the curfew policy on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday could be disqualified from the computer competition. Problems incurred on Saturday could result in the team being disqualified and the final score revoked.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Students are not permitted to be in any company sponsored hospitality suites.

Students must confer and/or obey the guidelines set forth by BDPA National. Students selected to participate in the Computer Competition must wear their badges at all times. Students must obey the judgment of the (chapter & chaperon name ) chaperon(s). The decision of the chapter chaperon(s) is final.

Failure of the student to follow guidelines will result in disciplinarian action such as not competing in the Computer Competition, or not attending the Awards Banquet or expulsion from the Computer Competition Team.

BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES

No malicious or disruptive behavior will be tolerated. Foul language is prohibited.

EXPENSES

Expenses such as meals, lodging and travel costs will be sponsored by the BDPA Chapter. Students may bring money to buy souvenirs or any other items.

DRESS CODE

Proper dress is required of the Computer Competition Team at certain events during the National Conference. These events include the seminars /workshops and the Awards banquet. For the Conference Opening Ceremonies we ask that the Computer Competition Teams wear their Team T-shirts. As part of proper dress, gentlemen must wear shirt, slacks, tie, socks and shoes. Ladies must wear a dress or other appropriate clothing. Proper hygiene is required at all times.
